Hook It Up Towing

Like all other reviewers, the same happened to us this weekend while visiting Houston. BEWARE WHEN VISITING SHOPS/RESTAURANTS ON WEST HEIMER!!! We parked our car and within 5 minutes "a concerned stranger" approached us in Velvet Taco letting us know our car was being towed. By the time my boyfriend got out there the car was gone, he called the phone number give by the "concerned stranger" and was told they'd return our car if we paid $180, they instructed him to the nearest ATM. (Im no tow expert but I'm sure once your car is towed they don't drive it back to you and collect money) We aren't locals and planned to head home the next day so we did not want to get into with these guys. We got our car back and then we sat and watched the tower in one lot and the "concerned stranger" in another lot as they watched people park, instantly tow their cars and make them pay up. They are complete douches and low lives. I got all of their information and will be filing a complaint with the Texas Dept of Public Safety. Its sad that by the looks of these reviews these losers have been doing this for years. more

Terrible human beings more

I was illegally towed last Saturday night in from in front of  Katz's Deli in Montrose by Hook It Up Towing. We were followed into the deli by an "anonymous" person who told us that we were being towed. Later we learned that that person  worked for the tow company. He threatened and bullied us. He told us that he needed $160 immediately or would tow the vehicle.  I told him that I did not know was a private lot. I thought it was for the Katz's since it was across the street.  I also explained that we were visiting from San Antonio.  He didn't care and continued to yell and try to intimidate me.  He kept telling me that he needed $160 right now and kept looking at his watch.  I told him that I had a credit card. He claimed that the card machine was broken and that it had to be cash. He told me that I had to go down the street to the ATM for the cash. And for me to get into his car and he would take me. I refused to get into the car with him, as I did not feel safe with the manner that he was speaking to me and my friend. I then asked why we were being towed and he told me that it was a parking lot for another restaurant and not Katz's.  I then went got the police officer that was working at Katz's to come out and help me.  The police officer came out but was scared and intimidated by the tow guys and told me that he could not do anything.  The two company told the police officer that the manager of the other restaurant (Theos) had called them out to tow me.  So I went to speak to manager of Theo's to let him know that we would be happy eat at his establishment and that I didn't know that it was a private parking lot.  The restaurant said that they did not call the two company.  This pissed the tow company off even more.  They continued to try to intimidate me and my friend until a gentleman stopped to help me. He took me to the ATM. As I was paying them, they then towed that gentlemans car as well. This is a huge scam. This company is ruthless and will do anything to intimidate for money! more

Hook it up towing is a bunch of hungry ass wrecker drivers just looking for any loop hole to tow anybody. My aunt parked in front of my apartment to get my niece out the car since she is in a wheel chair. She brought my niece in and went back out to find no car. 2 minutes literally and it was gone. They said no parking in front of apartments but it was just to get a handicap girl out of the car. Cold hearted jerks more

HOOK IT UP TOWING HOUSTON is the most creapy, dishonest, SCAM company n the world. I parked my car on the parking in front of the pizzeria Dolce Vita 505, 507 Westheimer Road, Houston,Texas. The parkingvalet on the parking and Mister Navarre the owner of the company let me park my car and did no say anything. 5 Minutes later he towled my car. When I came out of the restaurant Mister Navarre had a big smile on his face and told me that I could pick up my car 12 miles away the parking at a very sketchy area near the highway. Because I had parked my car on a private parking...The taxi costed : 40 dollars + 223 dollars to pick up my car... This is a very BAD HOUSTON experience. What a sneaky business and how dishonest and mean to make money behind the back of people who just parked there car. HOOK IT UP TOWING HOUSTON Stay far away more
