Best on the North Shore 1/12/2012

I have taken my cars to Hong Kong Auto Service for more than a decade. They are scrupulously honest, the service is first rate, they are accommodating and pleasant. This place is a gem. Anyone who says otherwise is either having a VERY bad day or has a few screws loose somewhere other than his/her crankshaft. more

Help me out big time and didn't charge a lot 3/19/2009

My car broke down on the Edens just after the Old Orchard exit NB. I was towed to the nearest place. This was it. It was 2pm on a Saturday and they were about to close. They agreed to stay open to see if they could help me out. By 4pm, the owner had located the only rebuilt alternator for a chevy in chicago, had it installed, and charged me only ~$300. I was stunned. I thought i was going to take it in the tail pipe. Good work and honest price for my trip to HKA. Pros: Good prices, went the extra mile Cons: Language barrier, probably not good for new cars more

At first, they may seem disorganized. Examples of their antics include: 1. Making suspicious phone calls, trying to figure out the prices. They expect you to believe this is the protocol for retrieving the prices. Making matters worse are their prices for parts-more than double their competitors for generic and name-brand parts. If you want genuine parts, you're better off at the dealer. If you decide to get your car or truck serviced here, make sure you bring a (cassette or digital) recorder with you. Only an undercover investigator should be doing business with them. You're likely to hear some far-fetched tales. Pros: Clean facilities Cons: Customer service more
