Horrible experience the way the owner spoke to me and my family was outrageous. After explaining that there was a problem with a RC car we bought from them and that we had traveled over 2 hours to resolve the problem the owners reply was that it was my problem. I would not recommend this store to anyone for any reason. You should never speak to customers the way we were spoken to if you want to stay in business. more

If you are looking for customer service this is not the place to go. I made a purchase their and made sure with the salesman they would make good on the purchase if i had any problems. The toy would not work. went to return it and they said no refunds and no returns, and the saleman called me a lier with mild profanity with my 5 year old son standing right thier. I will not give them anymore of my buiseness Pros: null Cons: null more

Best Hobby Shop Around 10/4/2010

I have been doing business with Homewood Toy and Hobby for over 4 years. An excellent place to find any and all hobby needs. I fly RC Model Aircraft and enjoy a shop that fulfills all my needs. Reasonably priced, excellent customer service, and great atmosphere. If they don't have something you need they will order and have it as soon as possible. Have questions, they can answer. From electrics to gas and glow they have just about any airplane you would want, and in stock, what a huge selection. Accessories abound, just about anything you need. Thanks Homewood Hobby, I enjoy the store and the people who work there! 10 Stars if I could, what else can I say!!!!!!! more

Great place to take your son 2/21/2008

My son and I had a blast in Homewood Hobby looking around at all the different toys and trying them out as well. A very nice little toy store. A hidden gem of sorts. more

You can't beat the neighborhood atmosphere of shopping in a huge toy store that has been around forever. 11/2/2007

Another fun aspect unique to this store is the toy model department, which reminds those of us WAY past twentysomething what is was like to build a model plain, train or car (or even an entire city) in our younger years before such things as computers and the Ieverything existed. more

Takes Me Back - It's the Best 9/15/2007

I took my children there when they were small. Now, I'm taking my grandchildren. They were amazed when I took them the first time. Now, they will do almost anything to get the opportunity to go. more

Great place to visit for all of your hobby and educational toy needs, with a great loving and helpful staff. Good source for all of your train, r/c plans and car needs. A nice neighborhood hobby shop a great asset to the Homewood community. more

Amazing toy store 11/17/2005

If you can think of it and it's a toy, odds are that Homewood Toy and Hobby has it. I love browsing through their aisles- you never know what you're going to find and there's always something new. Their customer service is great, too. more

Not just your run of the mill toy store 11/15/2005

This toys store has the feeling of the toy stores we went to when I was young. They try to carry the out-of-the-ordinary toys. We got my son a wooden scooter that you wouldn't find at the mass merchandisers, and he loves it. The staff is friendly and helpful. If there is a toy you are trying to find, they are more than happy to see what they can do if it is offered by one of their vendors. more

Quality, classic toys 11/3/2005

Homewood Toy and Hobby has a wonderful collection of classic, imaginative, quality toys, that are hard to find at other toys stores. Their toys foster imagination and creativity and last for years. They also have a large collection of model cars and trains for older "children." The service has always been helpful and friendly. more

Lots of classic toys! 10/24/2005

I was looking for a simple pounding board for my son and couldn't find it anywhere. I found it here. They have all of the toys I grew up playing with before everything required batteries to be fun. The prices were not inflated because of location and were comparable to prices I found on the internet. PROS: Classic toys CONS: more

Homewood toy and hobby shop has everything you are looking. My husband absolutely loves them. He collects model cars to build and they have a huge collection. They also have planes, boats, ships, and much more. They have an extensive collection of toys and hobby type products to please everyone. They are also moderately priced. It is also a great store for kids so they can become interested in a hobby. more
