We just returned from our first visit to Home Field and let's just say we were unhappy with our experience. First, they brought our entree out with our salads. That always bugs me!! Why in the world do restaurants make such a novice mistake??
Then when our entree came out, it was less than satisfying. While the beef tips sounded good, they were served over bowtie pasta and grilled onions in a soupy mess. Most importantly, the beef tips were both tough and pretty flavorless.
On top of all that, the bill was $42 ($49 with tip) and MY WIFE AND I EVEN SPLIT THE ENTREE AND DID NOT DRINK ALCOHOL . We did have desert (also less than satisfying) which we tried since our main meal was so disappointing. But this, too, was pretty disappointing....
I know this is a sports bar, but they are set up with a nice sounding menu. Maybe it was too much to ask to try to get anything other than a burger, which, if we ever return, we will probably try...
My wife put it best on the way home:""I feel like I opened the window and threw away fifty dollars!""
If you want good food at a sports bar, I highly recommend COVER 3!! It's expensive, but at least you get what you pay for!
