NOT CHILD FRIENDLY K T. 2 Idaho Book & School Supply The selection is impressive but the store is NOT child friendly. During our visit, an employee took a book away from our 4-year old so she wouldn't "rip the pages." The action was completely unprovoked. Although we were standing next to her, the employee addressed our child rather than us. She was totally confused and we were stunned. Apparently they have an un-posted policy about who may handle their books, We assumed a school supply store would welcome even the youngest learners, but that is not the case. more

Idaho Book and School Supply 4/7/2006

This is the biggest education store in the area. I especially enjoy some of their early learning manipulatives and their variety of science and math supplies. If you are looking for some fun, unique teaching supplies, don't forget to check out some of the sets that are ordered and shelved in plain boxes with no labels. They have some real gems, but you have to be a tad bit of a snoop to find them! As a homeschool parent, I shop here primarily for hands-on teaching materials and manipulatives. I usually buy curriculum and workbooks at Curriculum Cottage and I buy daily supplies closer to home at Teaching World. more

School Supplies for Teachers and Parents 10/16/2005

Idaho Book and School Supply is a great resource for parents and for teachers. The store has workbooks on every subject, from math to reading, to English, to Spanish, and more. The books come at all levels, from elementary grades to junior and senior high students. If students are working on a particular project for science or social studies, there are lots of supplemental items, also. Teachers can get posters for their class, manipulatives for math, general supplies, such as grade books, and much more. It is hard to go in there and not find a handful of great educational tools, whether you are a parent or teacher. more
