My mother resides in an assisted living facility which specializes in care for people with Dementia and Alzheimers Disease. Mum has lived there for 2 years now, her dementia is advanced, and the transition to this facility was most difficult, for her and for my siblings. \r \r We enlisted HISC to provide extra care for Mum, especially during meal times when we cannot be there. In addition to providing basic assistance with ADL, they give Mum devoted attention to keep her active, engaged, and conversational. In addition to the basic skills for these positions, the HISC caregivers consistently demonstrate the additional skills and patience required to care for a person lost in dementia. They are wonderful. \r \r On the very few occasions when a caregiver was not a good match, the HISC management listened to our concerns and changes were made immediately. \r \r I consider this team to be an extension of my own family, providing loving care to my mother when we can't be there ourselves. Last February, after being in nursing homes for four months for physical therapy, I decided to go home to continue my therapy on an outpatient basis. That's when I found Home Instead Monroeville. The caregivers they sent were two very kind, friendly, and great young women. They were always on time and would do all the things I couldn't do without complaining. I also met some other caregivers who were the same: kind, caring, and friendly. The office staff was always helpful and caring, if there was a problem they corrected it right away. I would highly recomend Home Instead Monroeville to anyone that needs this kind of help. more

I was also very upset with Marilyn R's remarks regarding Homeinstead. They are absolutely wonderful! My aunt has Lou Gherig's disease and requires a lot of attention and patience. We have been working with Homestead for almost a year and have absolutely no complaints. Not only is the staff (Melissa and Ann) extremely nice, helpful and responsive, the aides they provide are knowledgeable, caring and respectful. They are professional and timely. We work with three different aides and we consider them part of our family! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for assistance! I consider them top of the line in caregivers! I was so upset reading Marilyn’s review of Home Instead Senior Care. Personally, I have referred many families to use them after having such a positive experience. I used them for 2 years to care for my mother and cannot begin to express how pleased I was. Even after the passing of my mother, I continue to keep in contact with the wonderful women they sent to care for her. Not only did all of my caregivers arrive fully trained, but the company held several additional training sessions throughout the 2 years I used the service. The women were more than competent to care for my mother. They were very compassionate and treated my mother as if she was their own. The office was always there for me as our needs changed and could always have a caregiver there when I had an emergency. The office arrived at my home for the initial visit within 2 hours of my call. They brought all the necessary paperwork and explained everything in great detail before we began. There were no hidden charges or anything misled to me. As the stock market crashed and mother’s finances were on hold, they continued to provide the same quality of care knowing their payments would be delayed. This is an outstanding company that provided me with excellent care, wonderful friendships and top service. I will continue to refer everyone I talk to about them.
