My mother who is 80 was invited to spend Christmas with my brother in San Diego. Getting there and back required changing planes in Houston and on the way back she only had 30 minutes to transfer to a different terminal. I had discussed in passing, my concern with Lori at Home Care Assistance here in Columbus and she, on her own, spoke with the Home Care Assistance Office in Houston. They offered to help my mom get to a hotel if she missed her flight. When she arrived safely and on time back in Columbus mom told me that someone from the Houston Office had actually come out to the airport and was able to meet her at the gate with a wheelchair and get her over to her flight to Columbus. This type of help is to me 5 Star service. I was simply amazed that they would help so much more

The 24-hour care that Home Care Assistance provided for our mom was unparalleled. She had three caregivers, each as compassionate, dedicated and hardworking as the next. Each caregiver worked eight hour shifts, which enabled them to stay focused and well rested, and in turn, provide the best care possible. more

With previous agencies, I dealt with employee theft, staff that was incompetent and poorly trained, appalling billing practices and overall horrendous customer service. They were very professional, yet were flexable enough to meet our needs and requests as my wife's illness progressed during her last 3 months. thank you for your mission. i have very limited experience as the procurer of in-home health care services, so i guess it was luck that you were the first i read about in detail, and phoned. you and your assistants (most notably, eve) were true to your commitment. during my time working with you, i never felt a sense of frustration. i never had a reason to be concerned that you or eve were not listening to betty or me, or that you were hesitating to act when a ""problem"" arose. betty was an interesting girl, and she wasn't shy about telling any of us how she thought it ought to be. you were all (including the wonderful women who stayed with, and were companions to betty) responsive, kind, realistic, and respectful. i can't possibly say enough good things about zee and sarah. i just can't. they were my friends and family. i love them. i hope you all continue to enjoy what you are doing. i know from my own experience that you do, because you can't be so good at caring for other people if it's not want you really want to do. betty really liked you all, she told me often... and she told it like it was. more

My sincere thanks to you and your staff at Home Care Assistance for coming to my 11th hour rescue back in May, after a terrible auto accident that left me with a broken right foot.
