Wonderful Church 3/24/2011

Holy Infant is a church family! Yes, it's small church, but it's full of BIG-loving holy people! We are a communtiy, most of us call HI as Our church, not just A church! We love everything about it, the simplicity, the size, the community, our Oblates priests! It's so wonderful! You'll defintely feel the presence of God when the congregation sing their hearts out to welcome God in our midst. Have you visited HI lately? Perhaps you'll have a change of heart, we will welcome you with open arms, despite your negative criticisms! We may not be the best church structurally, but what makes a Great church are the people in it.... say no more.... Holy Infant is up there for best churches around! Come see us again! Tange more

Need to feel the love 2/21/2007

The music may be folksy at times, and the church decoration is understated, but the congregation and the clergy have a deep love of God, the religion, and a desire to make the religion a way of looking at the world rather than a brief weekly ritual. Those seeking a religious experience surrounded by a congregation in love with God will not be disappointed. more

ugly, ugly, ugly 3/17/2006

I went here for mass once and have never been back because I really didn't like their liturgy. The music is on the folksy side and is pretty bad. The homily was decent but nothing to write home about. And aesthetically, it is a truly ugly church (though that seems to be a trend with Catholic churches in Durham). more

Holy Infant is where my wife went to church through high school. We've attended there several times. The church itself is not very attractive, but the music is pretty good and the congregation is friendly. My wife enjoyed her time in the youth group there. more
