Hollywoof Dog Grooming

If I could leave a zero star for my experience, I certainly would. The staff was friendly enough, but the way they handled their mistake has me furious! I took my dog in for a summer cut, which is the cut that she always gets, on Saturday, August 17th. I was asked if I wanted the terrier cut for her face and I said no, but if they could just leave the head unshaved. The girl at the counter said that it wouldn't be a problem and told me my dog would be ready by 4pm, but no later than 5pm; and that she would call me.\r \r Well, 4pm rolls around and I haven't received any phone call so around 4:20pm I got tired of waiting and went to pick her up. When I got there, I waited for about 5 minutes before they brought my dog out. The groomer then proceeded to tell me that they had a little accident when they groomed her!???? No body bothered to call me to tell me that and moreover, I still ended up paying them for their service?!!!! Seriously??!!! They clipped enough of the dog's ear that it is a noticeable cut! And then they asked me if she ever had a summer cut before? I told them that she gets a summer cut every time I take her to the groomers and I never got a dog back with a cut on her ear or any other body part!!!! Not only that, they apparently ignored the part where I told them to leave the head alone and just shave up to her neck! And they had to gall to tell me that the next time they won't cut her! Are you kidding me??? NEXT TIME? THERE WILL NEVER BE A NEXT TIME!!! I am so thoroughly furious with how this was handled that I feel like they should refund me my money for cutting my dog's ear and then blaming it on my dog as if she caused the clippers to cut her ear! Considering that she wasn't supposed to have her head touched, they screwed up and I was still nice enough to pay them! I have already told other dog owners not to come here as I think they did a horrible job with my dog! Worst grooming place ever! Petsmart does a better job and is priced about the same! If the owners would call me, I can send them a picture of my dog's ear just for proof! more

I was scared since my dog was full of knots since last time he was in the groomer they cut him and he was afraid to let me brush him. I explained to them what happened and they listened when they gave me my dog back he was great, the haircut was short but perfect. I am very happy and will highly recommend. It take time but what you need is a good job and that your dog be in good hands. Is not a rush thing. more

After almost 8yrs since we got our little Shit-zu (Gizmo), we've had to visit many different dog grooming places, everything ok at the beguining but always something bad after few visits, it looks like our little pet sometimes likes to bite when he's not in a good mood. Few yrs ago the groomer at Petco broke him one front tooth because, he said, he was trying to bite him, he put something in his mouth and then pulled it hard causing a tooth to fall. Now, since a couple of years ago we found this place, ""Hollywoof Dog Grooming"", we are so happy the way they treat our dog and the owners, Oscar and Karina and her brother Vicente are so nice people, today they were having bad time with my dog, he was trying to bite everybody, so they called me to stay close to my dog in order to finish their job, I'm thankful they did that, other places just quit and ask customers to take the dog to another place. 5 stars to Hollywoof. more

The new staff is horrible! my poor puppy came back looking like she got in a fight with a lawnmower. They weren't gentle around private areas of her chest(nipples) or privates. To the point of cuts and bleeding. On top of all that they didn't even do the cut the was requested! I'm warning you since the new staff has been in charge numerous times Iv'e been parked behind the building and can hear people yelling and whines and crys from the dogs. Just Horrible!!!! more

Tim Grady sold the business, and is unfortunately not the owner/operator any longer. The new owners are unprofessional and do not seem to be professionally trained in grooming! Beware. more

I am so happy I found Hollywoof! Had a bad experience with the last groomer I took my dog to, so really researched before I felt comfortable taking her to her next grooming session. The reviews for Hollywoof I found were all great, but most mentioned the owner Tim. I made my appt. for a Fri. 10am. When I arrived, I mentioned the reviews about Tim - turns out Tim sold the business (a moment of ""oh no""). The assistant/washer came out & I told him I had a bad experience & that my dog did not like getting groomed. He went right over to her, picked her up & just held & pet her as we discussed the cut I wanted. The groomer (who did work with Tim & bought the business) arrived & I showed him a picture of her with the cut I liked & discussed everything. I picked her up 2 hours later & she looked so great & I felt like she was treated with respect & handled well. I definitely will return! Pros: Very nice, really listened, cared for my dog more

Tim and his staff are fabulous. I found him after having less than wonderful experiences at other grooming centers. Our dog, Anna, who will soon turn sixteen years old, looks great and I trust Tim and know that he treats her as he would if she were his own puppy. I told him that Anna is as much my child as my daughter and son are and he totally understands. Tim is truly a treasure and I am so happy that we found Hollywoof for our Anna.\r Beverley more

I have taken my dogs to several groomers and always wonder? Why? because Hollywoof isthe best. Just because I can't get my act together to call and make an appointment, I shouldn't make them suffer. When ever they go to Hollywoof I feel like they are treated like someone really loves them. In fact, the first time they went I wondered if they would even want to come home. I can only start by saying that I own a 7 years old, while beautiful and lovable, psychopath cocker spaniel. He is afraid of everyone and every thing. If you even look at him he pees. Long story short, very difficult dog. Either groomer refused to groom him or they required to be tranquilized. Well, before coming to hollywoof we lived in NY and i took Mikey to this one guy (the one guy that would take him) who terribly hated Mikey and would only groom him if he was tranquilized. Well, since going to Hollywoof i dont know how he does it but we tranquilzed mikey the first time and that was the last. Ever since then he gets groomed drug free and he is not that nervous. Thank you Hollywoof. I dont know what i would do without you. Pros: easy to get appt., friendly, cheap more

I have been going to HOLLYWOOF for years & I would go no where else, Tim is wonderful! He is geniune and kind and its demonstrated by his work with animals. more

Tim Grady, the owner of Hollywoof, is one of the most loving dog people I've ever met. He offers non-anesthetic teeth cleaning monthly. We've been extremely satisfied with his services for the last 5 years. PROS: kind and compassionate with your dog - isn't that the most important thing? CONS: same day appts are sometimes hard to get more

I have been here with my friend several times, she brings her puppy here. The dogs are treated with so much love (now I see why she brings her pet here). The price they charged her seemed to be fair. We didn't have any trouble with the parking here. more

I love this place!! Seriously-I am very picky about where I take my beloved Webster but he is treated amazingly here and they always cut his hair perfect! They go very short in the summer and just enough in the winter (just like I said) and I'm just always amazed at the customer service. Tim always gives me a hug and treats my dog like he was one of his own. . . this is definately the place to have your dog groomed if you're in the Burbank area. Thanks! more

I have been taking my dog here for a few years. The people in here are very nice and very gentle with my dog. Their prices are very good and my favorite part about going here is that they love my dog and are always good to him everytime we go that is what is important more
