Great Hotel Great Location 9/20/2010

This hotel has made major improvements not only in the property itself but, the service was wonderful. My experience was wonderful from the front desk to the maid service - I could not have been more pleased more

We stayed just one night and boy was it a night, not only was the hotel great but my mother won a cool grand at the boats! The service here was great, Grace at the front desk was the best; she made our stay one that I'll remember for a long time. The rooms were clean and the locations was the best for the donation trip to the Shreveport boats! LOL! All in all I never write trip reports but I had to for this hotel and it's staff, Holiday Inn Downtown you get my vote and a perfect 10..............thanks! more

A Hotel with a Big Heart 9/10/2010

The Holiday Inn - Riverfront in Shreveport accomodated our combined families from three states (California, Washington and Illinois)so that we could attend wife's brother's funeral. The staff on all shifts were polite, courteous and very helpful and mindful to our every need; from management, reservations, services, and the late night security officer who brought extra pillows to us. They mourned with us during this very difficult time and provided us every comfort. We'll never forget their generousity. more

Our room was very clean 9/9/2010

We got this hotel while on the road to Shreveport via Priceline. Jumped on here and were quite worried we would be staying in this horrid place. We were very worried actually. But when we got there...it wasn't a bad hotel at all! The only complaint I can truly think of is the elevators were very slow. Our room was very clean, it was quite...we had none of the complaints that are listed on here at all. We would stay here again in a heart beat. The ladies at the front desk were nice...the bar was nice. The parking was free which was great. The hallways and the elevators didn't have ac...but that is my only complaint. It really is not a bad hotel. more

Better than I expected 9/2/2010

My husband and I stayed here for a short getaway weekend. We picked this hotel because it was close to casinos, shopping, etc. Its right in the middle of downtown (would be perfect for any festival going on too since its next to the Red River District). The room was priced at 111.00 with tax wich wasnt bad for a Saturday night. The check in said 3pm but we got there an hour and a half early and were given the room keys right away. The room was nice and clean, the bedsheets were very comfortable also. The hotel does have a bar/grill downstairs and a restaurant to order room service. Breakfast was good, kind of high at 8.95 per person, but still good. The ladies and staff were all very nice. I would stay here again for the price and the location! more
