Holiday Inn Express Redwood City-Central

I'm impressed by all the unexpected 'extras' & well thought out recent remodel. First, at check in, a welcome bag with bottled water, toothpaste, Tylenol PM & mouth freshener. Free wifi with plenty of convenient outlets on the desk in the front room of the King Suite I was upgraded to without asking.(I was upgraded to the suite when I mentioned I could hear the road noise.) In the bedroom honest to goodness bright, individual reading lights over each side of the bed with dimmer switch controls on each side along with outlets next to the headboard on each side for computer/phone charging, etc. In addition, there are lamps on each side table for low/indirect light, a wall mounted flat screen TV with many premium channels and a second large flat screen in the front room. The rooms have decent sized mini-fridges and aren't stuffed with a bunch of overpriced junk. (They're empty). conveniently located in the southern part of Redwood City, this inn is very nicely appointed. Rates are reasonable and the service has been as you would expect..I would recommend them to any traveler to Redwood City more

For my little summer vacation this year I decided to stay in Newport Beach. I love to go shopping in Huntington Beach and I figured it was close enough...and hey I could do a little shopping in Newport as well. The hotel was very nice and the staff were great. Charles, the manager, was very helpful. As for our shopping, we hit up The Catwalk, Tommy T's Body Piercing (great navel jewelry), and Loehman's (I bought the perfect purse). The room had a refrigerator and a coffee maker. All the ammenities were much appreciated. I'm not sure where I will vacation next summer, but I will stay at a Holiday Inn for sure! more
