Holbrook, Jodi Lynn, Md - Cornerstone Clinic Ltd

Dr. Jodi Holbrook dropped my daughter while 6 months pregnant, and with cervical cancer when she asked for a second opinion on the status of the cancer. This was her first pregnancy and we were all in shock to know that she had cervical cancer, and not knowing how severe it was. To ask for a second opinion was not out of line for a terrified young woman in my opinion. . My daughter was seen mainly by the physicians assistant, and only twice by Jodi Holbrook. This Dr. has no interest in having hands on interaction with her patients. My daughter was 'dropped' via a phone call. I would never recommend this Dr. to any woman. Dr. Jodi Holbrook should have her license taken away. more

I would recommend these guys to anyone esp. 1st time moms. A med-mal attorney told me to go with her which is saying something and let me tell you he was right! They took the time to answer all of my (tons!)questions and are so caring! They knew me and cared about me not just my file. In the end, I ended up having to have a c-section and Dr. H was great. She knew i was sad and she explained everything to me to reassure me that we were making the best choice and stuck with me the whole time so I wouldn't be afraid. She even held my hand while I got my epideral since my husband couldn't be in there yet. I will continue to receive my OB care with them and will return to have my second child in a few years. Both Dr. H and Laura were professional yet friendly and I wouldn't trust anyone else with my prenatal care! more

First of all my sister had her as a Dr. so I thought she would be great for me. But everyone can have a different experience. The staff by the most Unfriendly Uncaring.... I hate to say that ...and I had many things happen including a ................. YOU MAY HAVE CANCER .. talk with Dr. Holbrook. She sent me to Chicago thankfully and gratefully I was taken care of there! . She never spent time with me and nor did I ever feel taken care of. I have experienced many Dr's outside of Rockford area and I would NOT recommend this Clinic to ANYONE! Sorry to say..... go somewhere else to be cared for....! more

Good: I saw the nurse practioner Laura Koch. She was very friendly and very thorough. She answered all my questions without making me feel rushed. I will definitely come back to see her.. Bad: The front desk clerk was very rude when I realized that my blue cross insurance card wasn't in my wallet. I had already given my info over the phone when I made my appt. I understand the need to get a copy of it. I was going to fax it over as soon as I got home. I was made to feel like I was lying and that I was a criminal or something. I had to make many phone calls to insurance just to get my appt as I was threatened that I wouldn't be able to see Laura if I didn't have the card.. Improvements: Front desk clerk that treat you as a human being that they care about. Everyone forgets things sometime...and I drove from out of town for that appt.. Other: Overall the office environment was clean, and inviting.. more

Good: Clean, pretty facility.. Bad: Saw a nurse practitioner/midwife(?) this time and had the sloppiest exam I've ever experienced.(Have had annual paps for the past 30 years)No one in the clinic could/would smile. When I received my reminder call for the appt. the first minute was all about remembering to bring my copay-repeated numerous times. I've never forgot my copay or had an outstanding account. Obviously financial times are tough everywhere-I didn't feel very valued as a human being seeking to be cared for. It used to be different!. Improvements: True kindness and interest in the well being of me by all staff. More thorough exams by everyone doing exams. Follow up calls reporting on labs and making sure I have no questions or concerns following my appointment.. more
