Do not use Hoboken Pet Care - they are unreliable. They ""forgot"" to feed my cat for several days (TWICE).
The first time, I was on a lengthy trip overseas. I came home to find my cat without ANY food or water in his bowls. He luckily knocked over a bag of food onto the floor, and ripped it open (yes, a total mess, but thankfully he did that). A few hours later a young girl showed up at my door to see if ""my cat was OK."" I asked her the last time she came by, and she couldn't remember... basically stammered and had no clue, then said ""sorry, I usually walk dogs.""
The owner called me to apologize, and told me she'd personally take care of my cat on future dates, and assured me it would never happen again. I shouldn't have trusted her, but I believed someone could make a mistake, and thought it would never happen again. WRONG.
Almost a year later, and another long trip, I come home to find my cat meowing like crazy (not a usual habit) with NO food, and not even a drop of water in two bowls that were out. His litter box was full. They were supposed to have visited the day before, and the days before that. I reached out to the owner about the incident, and she didn't even have the courtesy to call me about the situation (its now been over two weeks). And- to make matters worse, I paid in advance, so I basically paid them to neglect my cat. I requested my keys back and money for the dates they didn't come. She left the keys with her doorman, but did not return the money for the days they never came.
If you love your pet and want to feel that they're safely taken care of while you're gone, do not use this company.
