Best

Delicious. Everything we ordered tasted homemade (not loaded with salt, butter, MSG, etc.) which really made it stand out for us.

Worst

Samosa was a bit soggy, and Lamb Vindaloo was ok. Chicken Tikka Masala was lacking flavour. Bhukara & Shanti are much better places in the area.

One of the best Indian restaurants in the Boston area. Food is fresh and has only a small amount of noticeable oil and fat. Delicious. Employees are very friendly and helpful. I've been there 30 times, and ordered 10 times. You can't go wrong if you like Indian food. more

well everything was awesome i really felt my family warmth as soon as i got inside. the workers are friendly and the service is fast.one after another. so that u wont have to wait and look at others food.well everything is awesome u really have to stop by sometimes.. well i am from new york but when i came to visit boston i tried this restturant's food and it was good and remarkable.i like the decoration and the picture on the wall as well as the workers. Pros: best sekuwa Cons: nothing at all.lol more

i tried lots of nepali and indian restaurants in town but the best i ever had is himalayan bistro.i cant stop myself from going there.atleast once in a week . and the workers are friendly and polite which makes me feel im at my house.. thankx guyz Pros: almost everything Cons: i dont see any more

Very very good food! 1/27/2009

I and my friend stopped at the restaurant on Sunday night. The food was excellent. We ordered chicken momo. It was soooooo good. Chicken tika masala was very flavorful and chiken sag ( Nepali ) was very delightful. Service was very attentive, Decor and music was very nice. We enjoyed it and highly recommended!!!! more

Best Indian food in Boston 1/13/2009

We went to the bistro with party of five. We tried chiken Momo and special platter as an appetizer. It was very good. For main course we orderd chicken tikka masala, chicken sag(nepali), Mix tandoori grill and alo govi. Every thing was very very good. Must try!!! Pros: food and service more

Not recommended 12/7/2008

I ate at Himalayan Bistro and can not recommend. Food was not good and not fresh. Ordered chicken masala, rice, naan and somosa. Somosa must have been a week old, not edible. Masala was watery and not very flavorful. Naan was cooked to charcoal. Restaurant was pretty clean, counter needed to be washed down. Decor is sparse. Service was adequate. Not recommended. Pros: Staff is very nice Cons: Food, no parking more

Amazingly good 4/13/2008

We'd seen some positive reviews here, but were still stunned at just how good this food was. We wound up going through an appetizer (Nepalese), two naans, two entries and dessert because we couldn't get enough. Nice atmosphere, superb service, they were quite accommodating to our baby. The only problem we had was spice -- if they ask and you really want mild, order mild. =) Great times -- we'll be back.. Pros: Great food, amazingly extensive menu, food from several regions. Cons: Parking might be rough at peak times, but it was easy on a Sunday night. more
