I can not speak highly enough of the massage I received. I literally felt better than I have in months after an hour and a half session with Jan. That, along with the vast amount of health information she has accumulated, made the session so worth-while. I only wish that Jan was also serving Chicago (where I'm from) so I could receive treatment from her whenever I needed it. If you're visiting the island, don't miss the opportunity to see her! This is without a doubt, hands down (pun intended) one of the best massages you'll ever have, not only on Hilton Head but anywhere. Every time I visit the Island, which is about 4-5 times a year, I make it a point to get a massage from Jan. It's such a great way to start a vacation, de-stressing and having all of your muscle aches miraculously vanish. I can not recommend her strongly enough! Some background information about me, I have experienced probably 20+ massages by both medical massage therapists and traditional relaxation massage therapists and have always enjoyed all of them. Some were better than others, but never have I experienced such a bizare massage as I did with this one. Never have I felt compelled to leave feedback. Like most massage therapists do, she asked if I had any trouble spots, but by the end of the massage, she hadn't spent any time on the spots I mentioned. Her "techniques" were strange and not relaxing. At one point I thought she was going to wash my hair. I've had a head massage before, but this was definitely not massaging but actual shampoo scrubbing. Overall it was the strangest massage I've ever had. Absolutely not the best massage and pretty close to the bottom. more

Above and beyond...Jan's credentials certainly speak for themself which is how I came to her. I was very at ease with her persona immediatley upon arrival at our vacation rental. She went right to work after discussing any particular issues and far exceeded my expectations by the end of our session. I immediately reserved her for another appointment because I had been so "touched" by her. I'm a mother of two small boys that keeps me in knots most of the time she surely worked out all of the kinks on the first visit. The second was purely being selfish to spoil myself with her divine/healing hands! I also consider myself a "massage snob" of sorts. She has ranked in my book as one of the top healers that has touched my spirit. You should really find out for yourself to see what a real massage should be... Pros: Extremely receptive to my needs. Jan Kasmir did a fantastic job yesterday on our massages. Two of us called, asking her to come to our resort condo, and she arrived on time. We found her professional and attentive. She brought a sturdy (better-than-average) table (which was just right!), and oils that helped our dry skin. Jan was friendly and pleasant, yet did not talk too much. She had the right balance of personality that engendered trust before we began. I was not disappointed. Having been hurt in the past by masseuses who pressed too hard, I was hesitant when she first began, but her touch was healing. As I relaxed with the fabulous music she provided, she massaged just the right muscles for complete relaxation. She did not seem concerned about time and gave me my money's worth as she completed the massage. Her medical knowledge was a plesant factor adding to our satisfaction. For a professional masseuse who will not disappoint you, I highly recommend Jan Rose Kasmir. Jan is gifted. Her attention to your body's signals makes her the best. She genuinely is interested in getting your body in tune and making the most of your massage session. My neck has not felt this relaxed in many months. She truly is the best and adjusts her massage based on what you need - not the textbook method- bravo. more

At first I didnt think that I would enjoy a message, because I hate it when people touch me. But after talking to my doctor he said that it would be the best thing for my lower back pains. I really enjoyed her service, although she did have a lot to say lol. I felt AMAZING after the massage and now I go to her every 3 weeks and I havent been in pain since! I am not very good at expressing myself, but this was absolutely the best massage I have ever had. I have a very big problem with pain in my lower back, and this was the first time I have had complete relief - AND AFTER ONLY 1 SESSION. I would highly recommend Jan Kasmir to anyone. I was looking forward to a massage to get the kinks out after a long drive to the island and by pure chance found a brochure about Jan's service. I was thrilled to find that she would come to my place, saving me both time and stress. A big plus was the chance to take a nap immediately following the massage. Everything went just as I had hoped. Jan brought everything, set up very professionally and provided a very relaxing and peaceful massage. I'm just sorry my stay was so short leaving me only time for one.
