Love the food!!! 12/25/2008

For all of you that have done without the thrill of local oriental food, you should definitely make the effort to get to Hilo Lunch Shop!!! It is just a short distance from the Hilo Airport and a must do while in Hilo!\r \r Oriental restaurants are usually closed on Monday's for religious reasons. But, the food is usually available from morning until about 12:45 p.m.. Also, they take credit cards and phone orders!!! Phone orders are highly reccommended, due to the high daily demand of customers!!!! more

This is a place where we would eat lunch at all the time when I was a painter. I dont know the exact hours of operation but this was an issue at times. sometimes you go there and its closed. But this is typical for a japanese okazuya shop. The food is amazing and incredibly cheap. Highly reccomended. Go there now, no yesterday..if not, minus 2 points for you. more
