STAY AWAY FROM HILLSIDE HONDA!!!!!!!!\r \r Today I had a real experience as a customer shopping for a car. \r \r I walked into my old dealership, that I considered my alma mater in auto sales, Hillside Honda. I had come with my uncle, a recent flood victim of Sandy. The poor man just wanted to buy another minivan for his family.\r \r Expecting a warm reception, I received anything but. \r \r Unfortunately the general manager, Peter Petito is running that ship. As I went to shake this mans hand, he turned his back on me and then proceeded to have a salesman tell me that He won't sell us anything, and to leave.\r \r Why you ask? Because when I decided to move to LA, I decided to work for not just a familiar face out there, but my old boss from Hillside Honda, who decided to open is own dealership. \r \r The question I have is what does this have to do with flood victims? My uncle came to buy a car, and ultimately was rejected for no good reason.\r \r Again, as a sales professional in the auto industry more

Disrespectful Dealership 2/12/2012

I have a 2010 Crosstour and my lease ends on November 2013. They called me to invite to their gallery to offer me an early upgrade. I was surprised but still went to see what they had to offer. After typical sales tactics (which consists of the sales person keeping you waiting for long periods of time so you get tired and accept whatever they have to offer so you could get out of there. So the sales person asks you a few questions and goes away, then comes back 10 minutes later, asks one simple question and goes again for 15 minutes, then comes back and asks you a question like ""will you get a new car today if we give you a satisfactory offer"" and goes again for 20 minutes) Anyway, I knew this because I have been there before. The real problem was when everything was discussed and after I spent about 2 hours mostly waiting around... The sales person was away as usual so I went and found him hanging out in the lobby. I told him I needed to go and he could call me with his quote. He told me to come back later to get the quote. I said I didn't ant to come back and asked why still he couldn't give me the quote. The manager named DEREK MEDRZYCKI jumped in and introduced himself and told me to come back as they were still working on the quote. I told him I could get it over the phone and didn't want to come back again. I also told him that I told the sales person that I wouldn't be interested in an early upgrade since it would mean starting over with the 36 months lease period. I told him that I already told the sales person I would only consider it if my monthly payments were less than what I'm already paying, otherwise it wouldn't make sense to me to exchange my car as I was happy with it and there were literally no changes at all in the new version internally or externally. He told me ""so you came here today and you're asking us to give you a newer car for less money?"". I told him I didn't ask for anything at all and sales person invited me and I already told him the only way I would be interested in a deal would be if I paid less. I said if it didn't make sense he could tell me ""no"" instead of having me wait or making me come back. He had a smirk on his face, he put his two palms down on the table, looked at his right side towards the window for a few seconds and turned his face back to me. Then he said ""so maybe you can pay bi-weekly instead of every month?"" I asked if there was such a thing and what the difference is. He goes ""yes, we get the money from your paycheck and you pay the same amount of what you are paying two times a month, every other week, instead of once a month..."" Can you believe this guy? Of course I was very angry and told him I was very insulted. I kept asking him how he could treat me like stupid offering me to pay double. How they could call me there and mock me and disrespect me. He wouldn't answer no matter what I say. The sales person that invited me tried jump in and saying things like, ""no he didn't mean that, no he wasn't trying to mock you"" and even in those moments the manager (Derek Medrzycki) kept that smirk on his face. I told the sales person that he still had a smirk on his face and even so the manager wouldn't change his attitude and wouldn't speak. I tried to walk out the door and the sales person came with me and apologized for the managers behavior. Of course it was too late. I told him honda had lost a customer that day. more

I have purchased two cars from this dealership. They are great . The dealers are very friendly and work with you regarding prices. They offer you coffee while you wait. When you arrange your interest rates they are very flexible. You have to push for the lowest rate. I did and I got 2.9% rate. They explain everything you want to know. more

overall I have to say, Hillside honda is excellent for the good customer service. my family memebers and close friends also service their veh there.I want someone that I can trust with my veh and thats hillside, I go in the morning and they already know what they have to do. the time frame is as I expect and the pricing is never a problem the labor rate is just right for your pockets.\r sincerely, sunil. more

service is always fast. I had a little issue with my car, the radio was not working, I was worry because I thought I didnt have no more warranty on it, I went in the morning went to work an hour later received a phone call from joseph the advisor telling me they were able to check the radio and it was under the warranty, I was so excited, it made my day. thank you guys always making the customers happy. more

I recently service my 2010 civic SI, and I was totally happy on the job that was done to my SI. I bought my veh from there as well, and after a couple of weeks I decided to install accesories, by the way very unexpensive. I love the way my Si looks now, exactly how I wanted it. The services guys were friendly, specially Joel he was the one who helped me out, he explained everything and I got my Si back in a couple of hours as they promissed. more

Everyone is honest to their customers, they only focuse in customer's satisfaction, when I go to service my truck that place is always full, but that's why they came up with the idea of making appt. i have the choice to wait for my veh or leave its what's convenience for me, that and more more reasons, I recommend hillside honda service and sales. more

The service dept. @ hillside honda is different than anywhere else. no matter what year is the car they take good care of it like if it was new. I always take my car to hillside i have a 2008 honda accord, but my father has a 1990 honda prelude and we both are satisfy the way they take care our cars. I love honda cars all my life, specially if the place Im going to get my service from is HILLSIDE HONDA.This veh last long people just have to know how to maintain it. I've been going to hillside honda for 8 years and the service just keep getting better and better. Price wise is always affordable and the people there are kidness and understandable. high techs are highly certefied. I wish all the car dealers will be as good as hillside honda, jamaica queens. more

my husband and I were shopping around for a new pilot, we saw a commercial about hillside honda so we decided to go check, the minute we walked in there we felt so comfortable by the way the salesperson notice the customer. we spoke to the manager Peter, nice guy, they demostrated the pilot and didnt even think about it, the price was right we didnt want to missed out., three months later when it was time to have the first oil change, we got a remminder which we though it was an excellent idea, I called in to make an appointment to my luck they have saturdays appt. had my first oil change for free since Im leasing, and mr. Khan the service rep was helpful and friendly. more

I bought my daughter her first honda accord in NJ close where we used to live; I heard about hillside honda thanks to one of my co-worker, I called in just to find out how they operate they told me I need an appt. to have service done which I thought it was an excelent idea, that way you plan your day, that was perfect for me on my way to work I went there had my veh serviced within an hour it was done and ready, I left to work happy. I bought two honda civics from hillside honda and the price was excellent. When I took it for the first service I was impressed by the way these people work and the treatment I received was outstanding; Henry who was the person who helped me out was professional. Everything IS organize, as soon as I drove in, someone was already waiting for me with,took me inside, I had a cup of coffee read my newspaper half an hour later my veh was done.
