I have to agree, my teachers went beyond the call of duty, and the things they taught me I use with my own children today. I went to school there between 1984 - 1986, and I have to give a real special thank you to Mr. Kevin Platt, and Mrs. Sydney Berner, they really impacted my education, but also my life.. Class of 1995 3/19/2006

I joined this school in first grade and I met some of my life-long friends here. When I attended, the school was great. The first principal had an assembly about him shaving for the first time ever. There were candy canes and cheerleaders. The school-spirit was not lacking. We had little read laminated cards that students throughout the school would earn if they were caught doing something nice. "I was caught with Hillside pride". The school has changed dramatically since the years I left. More bungalows were added and a parking structure now makes the tiny school, crowded and unpleasing. Although many teachers have left I am almost sure that Ms Hughes is still there. more
