http://www.kdhnews.com/news/story.aspx?s=46491 Why Dr. Kruse felt he could no longer serve in an advisory position had nothing to do with killing animals. Dr. Kruse was asked by Cove city official to give the interview & speak on their behalf. The interview that appeared on KXXV, was not shown in it's entirety. Dr. Kruse was interviewed for more than 5 minutes & what was aired was less than 30 seconds. His comments were completely taken out of context. He did not say he advocated the killing of animals. He commented that animal control has a responsibility to protect the public. On another note - Our family, three generations of Hill Country clients, is but one group completely happy with Dr. Kruse's exemplary care. We have been taking our very large pet family to Hill Country Animal Hospital for more than 15+ years. We have never had a problem with the care our pets have received from Dr. Kruse & his staff. We have always been comfortable when our pets have boarded with Hill Country, sometimes for days at a time. Seems to me there are a lot of individuals posting grievances because Dr. Kruse stood his ground & gave them an answer they didn't like. So, of course, people get upset & the first thing they do is start posting slanderous comments. (makes you wonder where kids learn to bully on the net). Their complaints are but one side of the story. Logically speaking, if Dr. Kruse is the horrible vet he has been portrayed to be, why then does he still hold a veterinary license & why is he still in business? My family knows for a fact, Dr. Kruse does not bend the laws of veterinary medicine to suit the public. Instead he follows the veterinary code of ethics and laws to better serve the patient. BTW, when did it start being a crime to be a "One vet" practice? This country was founded on the backs of small business ownership. At one time it was called the "American Dream". more

Don R. and his Hill Country experience. 3/1/2011

Be very careful how you go about giving your opinion concerning professionals and their services they provide. You have slandered a person who is licensed in TX to practice vet medicine. You can be sued for slander in TX. Earning a veterinary degree does not come easy and then there's the medical boards that must be passed to be a DVM. Do you honestly believe and want others to believe that Dr. Kruse has a "serious mental disorder", that he's a pathological liar and apparently brainwashes his staff into lying as well? Please tell us all how you believe he has stayed in business for so long with such character flaws. I can tell you this veterinarian, Dr. Kruse is ethical, educated and has an awesome professional bedside manner. He has practiced animal medicine for more than 20 yrs with few complaints and those people chose to complain because they didn't get their way. Perhaps they wanted refills their pet was not authorized to have or when Dr. Kruse and his staff explained a procedure, the client was not mindful in listening. What is your excuse? I have been a client at Hill Country for more than 10 yrs. There are many other clients that have been with Hill Country a lot longer than that. All of us very happy to keep our business with Dr. Kruse. If you are so unhappy with the way you felt you were treated, go use another vet and contact the TX veterinary board. See how far you get with your nonsense. Those who happily continue to patron Hill Country know the truth. more

Kennel your pets 6/16/2005

We kenneled our dog when we went on vacation. the vet was very nice. Our dog liked it there and he hates the vets. He didn't want to leave. They also bathe the pets before they come home which is so nice to have a fresh pet back. The runs are temperature controlled also which is a must here in Texas. Our dog seemed to have a wonderful time there playing with the other dogs. more
