Hello readers, my review is a criticism of one employee of Highland Family Medical Center. I give two stars for this review in fairness to those that do a good job. Unfortunately one bad apple, you know the rest, this is about one very bad apple. My family and I began our HFMC relationship three years ago upon moving to Texas. Every aspect of this relationship had been satisfactory then one day last October I called and asked for a prescription be called in to my pharmacy. Two days later I stopped in to the Pharmacy to pickup the prescription. It had not been called in. No biggy I thought so I called on my cell and had ringing just as the pharmacist asked if I wanted him to call. ""I got it, thanks"" I said a moment before my call was answered. ""Let me check"" said the person answering my call, and I advised as to my need. A few moments later I got a nurse that I won't name but if you say aloud the often advertised via TV the abbreviated term for ""erectile dysfunction"" then you might just have an inkling as to this nurses name. I can't place the face but I will never forget the name. Nurse ""erectile dysfunction"" very curtly advised that I should have called the prescription in earlier in the week and I would just have to wait until Monday. I advised nurse E.D. that we were about to embark on a family vacation and that I needed the refill now while I am at the pharmacy, and that I had called in two days prior. Nurse E.D. scornfully ordered me to watch my tone, and that the prescription would be available on Monday. What tone? The only negative tone was that which I was hearing. Suddenly I remembered the Seinfeld episode ""The Soup Nazi"" , where customers had to strictly watch their ""tone"" or be denied service. ""No soup for you"" overtook my thought but with the variation ""No healthcare for you"". I left the pharmacy, and a short while later I walked in, never having been there before, a Primacare clinic and presented my insurance card. A couple of forms to fill and twenty minutes later I was headed back to my pharnacy. We enjoyed a nice vacation and upon return my wife located a new clinic (not Primacare, my wife said no despite my feeling of loyalty). The moral of this review is that a storekeeper not minding the store is like a bus driver asleep at the wheel. One bad apple...
