gone out of business! 1/13/2008

First off, u use this to rate the shop, not people you don't know, this girl had given the shop 2300$ so far, and def was not crying pulling my husbands n the army card to get it worked on. Every one in this town is army. This person just wanted it done before her husband left for Iraq 9 months after the truck was put in the shop. The truck was said to be done in 3 weeks not 9 months, It this person would have known it was going to take 10 months to fix the truck and be worse off than when it went in they would have gladly paid the extra money to get it done some where else. There is a good reason this shop is seeing if they were such a good shop, why have they been sued several times, black listed and closing down? hummm. No need to worry about any one going there, they have gone out of business! more

The rest of the Story 1/5/2008

I have been using High Tymes Off Road for many years and have become friends with the owner and with many of the costumers that use their services. I read the reviews that people have posted and remember the cars as they sat at the shop for many months. When I would come to the shop to check the progress of one of the many vehicles that I had them build for me and my many friends. Theses vehicles in question, sat at the shop because the people did not have the money to pay to have the repairs completed. They would come in and ask to pick up the car and make monthly payments. I remember one when the lady that owns the Toyota came into the shop. She wanted the owner to give her the truck with the promise of bring the money in about a week and a half later. Now if you owned a shop are you going to release a car when someone still has not paid the $1600. Now also look the job was quoted $1500 less then any other shop in the area because when she came in she cried about not having the money to get it fixed and her husband was in the military. OK the bottom line is with this whole thing is that High Tymes Off Road works with everyone that comes in the door. I personal know that they have taken jobs and lost money to help someone in the Military and to do the right thing. I do not know too many companies out there that will take a loss to help anyone. But everyone knows how the story goes the little guy that helps is the one that gets lost in the shadow of the big company the does not care about there customers. At the end I am sad to say that they are closing the doors soon, and I will miss the fun that we used to have talking abut the cars collecting dust because people could not pay to get them fixed. more

AVOID: IF U LOVE YOUR TRUCK STAY FAR AWAY! 12/29/2007

I had a truck in there for a year! They would keep saying it was waiting on a part or what not. They quoted me 1,800 and I ended up paying $2,700! When I did get my truck back it broke down .25 of a mile down the road. Missing 2 bolts in the drive line. Used old wires, the truck would not stay started, wires were not in a harness and started to fry the 1 1/2 miles I drove it. 2 of the spark plug wires were not even attached! This shop is closing, THANK GOD, but they say they are reopening some where else.. DO NOT GO they will scam you! If you love your truck I would suggest not going in there. Pros: NONE! Cons: They lie, they will take you for all your worth, my brother could have done a better job, my truck ran better with out a motor! more

Worse Service Ever!!! 9/3/2007

I got my car takin there about 3 months ago.... because of my transmission going out of my 1993 Ford Probe....Well that was the worst thing I coulda done...They have been screwing us over ever since...they are cheap and so is there service..I still don't have my car from them because they keep making excuses to why we can't pick it up yet..well when i went today to go get it my husband got in my car and seen that the mileage was so about 12,000 miles over what we put on it...When i bought my car it had 78,000 miles on it I had the car 10 days from the time I bought it to the time it broke down and now it has 90,300 miles on it...Now will someone tell me how it is possible for me to put 12,000 miles on it in 10 days....its retarded.... On top of all that in the time they have had it we have went by the shop at least 4 times and everytime we went there the hood was off the car and sittin on top of the car so now the rain can get in the engine and the wires can get messed up and parts can rust...they know better and another thing is there was beer cans sitting all over on top of the engine... There is no since in any of this at all...I have to have my car I am pregnant and my husband is deploying in about a month.. And I am moving...I have to have that car... but it don't look like it's gonna happen... more
