I am from Massachusetts, so I have tried all the sushi places in Boston and on the Cape, and once I moved to Connecticut I found myself in search of a place that could fulfill my sushi needs. Higashi just so happened to be the answer! They offer amazing food, fresh fish and a friendly service. I love the atmosphere at the restaurant. No way can any other sushi place in CT compare. I drive 40 minutes to get dinner here every week, and it is well worth it. Pros: Excellent food and service more

Higashi Japanese Restaurant GREAT FOOD!!! 5/27/2007

I did a search on ASK and this restaurant came up. I looked at the reviews and decided to give it a try. Both my date and I were pleasantly surprised to see it was all true. The food was excellent and the soup was very tasty. I will visit this establishment again and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a reasonably priced dinner that delivers BIG on taste. A+++ Pros: FOOD WAS GREAT Cons: wanted fried rice but they only had steamed rice. more

Fast service, awesome food. Great staff and the prices are reasonable. It's not a big restaurant but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in quality food and service. Pros: Awesome service and food Cons: small restaurant more
