I just can not believe that the SPCA has not investigated this place. We visited the Hideaway before we went on our last vacation and even though there was a lot of dogs boarded, ...

Great Boarding Kennel. I have large dogs and they enjoy their stay where they get fresh country air when outside and, their own private indoor area. They have plenty of room and are very well cared for while at\r Hideaway. would recommend. more

This place is wonderful. I boarded here for the second time this past Christmas (Thanksgiving was the first time) and it was actually the first time i have been at ease on vacation. My 2 dogs came out of here at Thanksgiving so happy that at Christmas Time it was so nice to take them back and not worry. After Christmas they came home healthy and happy. Great place Great staff. more

This place is the best kennel i have ever seen. We moved here about 3 years ago from Calif. and one of my biggest concerns was finding a not just good but great place to leave my kids (dogs) with. We did try 2 other places and were not happy at all. Then we found Hideaway alittle slice of heaven for our dogs. Didn't think i would find a clean, loving, and happy place like this but we did and i would never go any place else. The staff is great and i have never seen a cleaner kennel. more

We have been using Hideaway Boarding Kennel for years. Our two babies love this place. The staff is always friendly and really care for the animals. When we pick up our dogs the kennel areas are always very clean. It is such a relief to have piece of mind knowing our babies are being taken care of while we are away. Thank you... more

My dogs have stayed at Hideaway for the past 2 years and the kindness and care given cannot be matched. We are certainly pleased and would not hesitate to recommend\r to our friends. ALL kennels that I've seen are concrete, how else are they to be cleaned easily? Should memory foam be used? Anyways, my animals are always happy and never come home covered in their waste! Pros: country setting Cons: should there be any? more

Great Kennel 6/2/2009

Taking my dogs here is never a hassle, when i pull in the kennel yard and my dogs see where they are going they cannot stand still. They want to get out of the car and start their vacation. They love the staff here, the staff is so kind to my dogs and from what i have seen to every dog that comes through there doors. I love taking my dogs here, I know they love the place and i love the country surroundings. My dogs are so happy when they come in here and very happy when they come out. I have a great vacation knowing that my dogs are taken care of as well as they are. Give them a try and you will see what i mean. Pros: Best place to leave your beloved pet. Cons: Absolutly NONE more

Go here for a happy dog, Best Kennel ever. 9/1/2008

I just had to write this review. As i read the other reviews, I have no idea what they are talking about. The one star rates have got to be talking about another place. They surely can't be talking about the Hideaway Boarding Kennel that i know. My dog goes in there with his tail up and wagging and also comes out of there the same way. He loves going to this Kennel. I have boarded him at other kennels (not in this area) but he does not act the same when i take him home. Anyway Hideaway Boarding Kennel is the best I have ever seen. I will continue to board here and i will continue to take home a very HAPPY HEALTHY DOG. Pros: great place more

The Greatest Little Boarding House in Texas.............. 6/8/2008

I have been boarding my dogs at Hideaway Boarding Kennels for over 7 years now, and i have small dogs and large dogs. The people their are so nice and pleasant to talk to, and it is so obvious that they care for every dog or cat that comes through their doors. \r And talk about CLEAN i have never seen a cleaner kennel.. I don't consider myself an expert on this but i do consider myself to know what i want when it comes to leaving my pets (babies) with someone else. I will never go to another kennel. Hideaway is my dogs home away from home.\r Pros: Thumbs up. Great Place. more

I have been boarding with this kennel for 5 years, have 2 large dogs, have always been pleased with the care and attention given to my dogs. And it is certainly the ultimate in cleanliness. 5/3/2008

I have no hesitation about leaving my dogs for an extended time,knowing the time spent in the spacious run areas allow for their comfort. I have never smelled any odors. The separate buildings are definitely an asset.\r The staff I have found is always cordial and concerned about the wellfare of the dogs and cats. Never displaying anything but kindness to the animals.\r \r I will continue to board my dogs there. \r \r Pros: care, special diets,, separate buildings for small and older dogs. Where's the SPCA when you need them 3/19/2008

I just can not believe that the SPCA has not investigated this place. We visited the Hideaway before we went on our last vacation and even though there was a lot of dogs boarded, which might be an indicator of the quality of the facility, we found it unsanitary and the dogs seemed to be very dismayed. Not a safe and sanitary environment for dogs 3/18/2008

I went to check out this place on the recommendation of a friend and I could not believe what I saw.\r First of all, the stench was so bad I could hardly breathe. Second of all, all of the dogs were being forced to sleep in their own feces, and the staff was less than friendly. I saw one worker dragging a dog into his kennel and the overall staff was very vague about my questions regarding the facility. Makes the dog pound look like a 5-star hotel 3/18/2008

I'd rather take my dog to a trash dump.\r The staff was cold towards the animals, the facility smelled so bad I almost threw up, all the dogs were crying and peeing in the same cold concrete cells that they are forced to sleep in. Pros: nothing Cons: everything more

My dogs love to go to camp at Hideaway 6/23/2006

I have boarded my dogs here many times and they love it. When i take them in they are all happy and when i pick them up they are all happy. When i have to go out of town its great to not have to worry about my beloved (children) pets. I will never board anyplace but here. When you find the best why bother with the rest.
