We just signed a 2nd lease at HP, awesome place to live with professional management & maintenance staff. How the place was years ago, I don't know....but today the place looks great & I invite anyone to visit their website, their office, and see how many of my neighbors agree with me. Vacancy is extremely low, with many long tenants living here since they built the dozen plus buildings, 7 years ago. Other nearby apartments are old, built a couple dozen years ago. \r We relocated from Florida looking for a home near Nippers Corners in Brentwood, yet a fully gated community we could not afford, plus reviews complained of the gates too. At HP, it is a courtesy gate, a safe community since nicer cars are garage kept, and neighbors are always active enjoying the many amenities. Construction is newer than other places I visited prior to signing my lease, and inside the apartment, 9ft ceilings, crown moldings, washer & dryer inside unit look great. I love living at Hickory Point Apartments for many reasons, especially the high standard used by management & maintenance staff. It is a quite peaceful community with a courtesy gate, not a fully gated with a guard stand entrance. Yes, at times, the rushed tenants go in the wrong way when a car is leaving, to avoid finding the gate opener. This causes the gate to need more repairs than planned. Most nearby apartments do not even have a courtesy gate. What makes it safe is the police cars that come around often, the concerned neighbors that watch, and tenants with the nicer cars.....store them inside all the available garages. The grounds are kept nice, the place is always maxed out in their rental capacity, showing many of my neighbors love living here too. Visit the website for a glimpse of luxury apartment living, with all the amenities. I had to change apartments due to a handicap change of status , and management found me a better apartment with an attached garage and a view. Both times I have received keys, the place was move in ready, fresh paint everywhere and clean. I plan to live here until I retire in 7years. This HP community has quite hours from 9 pm to 10 am, and on site management, Being able to sleep in on weekends, avoid late party noises from a disturbing neighbor, and relaxing in a balcony with a city view.....is what I call luxury apartment living! Having a washer & dryer in the unit, a soaking garden tub in the master bath , and a spa by the huge pool....is my definition of vacation mentality apartment living. more

1. DEFECTIVE GATES. Gates are only cosmetic. They only worked 20% of the entire year we lived there. Drivers who didn't have the gate key remotes would counterflow after cars come out of the gate. This place is not secured at all.\r \r 2. CRIME NEIGHBORHOOD. It is literally surrounded by Section 8 apartments -- don't be fooled!!! Check the crime stats. Recent examples: (1) summer of 2012, somebody's car's rims&tires at Bldg 4 were stolen in broad daylight. (2) A Stonebrook tenant (the next door apartment complex) around Sept 2012 was robbed at gunpoint.\r \r 3. MISSING MAILS. The mailman would get your credit cards that come in the mail and those greeting cards he suspect to contain gift cards. Tell your family and friends NOT to SEND you gift cards through the mail. \r \r 4. DIRTY SWIMMING POOL. Swimming pool is closed almost the entire year.
