Vehicle Owner Beware 7/22/2011

The service person, Daniel Scull, may quite possibly be the rudest human being on the face of Planet Earth. He takes a bad situation and makes it so very much worse, while simultaneously charging through the nose. The service is slow, poor, vastly overpriced and, to add insult to injury, just incredibly, incredibly rude. I truly do not understand how this establishment maintains its affiliation with AAA. I would never have brought my car here if it were not for the AAA recommendation, and now I an re-evaluating my opinion of AAA. Apparently the AAA logo means nothing any more. more

Should be called Hi-Price 7/21/2009

This place will charge you an arm and a leg. I am from out of town and went to the shore for the weekend. My alternator broke and my roadside assistance towed me to this place where I was WAY overcharged - came out to be $530 for a new Honda Civic alternator for parts and labor. Alternator ""cost"" $300. I needed to get to work on Monday so I paid but I would not recommend going EVER again. more

clean place but not too out of town friendly 6/17/2009

our car broke down and had to be towed 12 miles. $163.81. We were told what the problem was, and he would install the part for another $318.00, but we would supply the part. We found out the part was backordered, so decided to have our car towed to our home, about 90 miles away. He wouldn't give us the address of his place to have a tow truck come, and said HE was AAA. We tried to resolve it with a credit card payment and he wouldn't take that over the phone, so I had to take the trip to have him swipe my credit card and then arrange for outside towing, since he was going to charge $450 to tow it. The man couldn't have been more unfriendly and acted like he was holding our car for ransom. We were completely unfamiliar with the area, as I'm sure most out of towners are. The fact that he is a AAA representative, of which we are members, made it all the more disturbing. I'm quite certain most of the business he gets is from people that are in a bad situation like we were and knows he has you ""over a barrel"". Cons: out of towners get taken advantage of more

Good service but charges double and more for parts 7/21/2008

Brand new clean shop with courteous technicians. Unfortunately service manager charges over double for parts you could buy across the street from the shop, e.g. charged $318 for alternator that goes for $154 at auto parts store right next to them. Charged $68 for serpentine belt that sellls for $31. Now I'm no newcomer to auto repair and I know they mark up prices on parts but the standard is about 30% not more than double. This is a AAA approved shop and I got a 10% discount but what good is a 10% discount when they are doubling the prices? Service manager very defensive & belligerent told me he could charge whatever he wants (claimed it was ""list"" price----who's list? His?) and told me I could call every agency in the state to complain if I wanted, basically telling me to f*** off. If you're on vacation and stuck like I was they will fix you up in a jiffy but be prepared to pay through the nose. Maybe that's why all their bays were empty people in the area are aware of their pricing. Pros: quick fast professional service Cons: be prepared to pay double and more more
