DO NOT RENT FROM HERE OR HERTZ!\r
\r
This place is the worse. These guys are like shady car salesman. We walk in and told we are getting an upgrade car (well, it's actually the only car they have available - all others were rented) Cool. The guy then throws us the insurance pitch. We tell him we're not going to take it and he totally changes. It's 11:45 and the 'weekend' rate starts at noon. So my husband has to wait until noon for the special rate we booked online to kick in. Fine.\r
\r
So at noon he goes to get the car and what do you know. We're all of a sudden getting a cheaper car because the nicer car they were going to give us is 'not working'. Okay, whatever. I thought maybe it was b/c we didn't get the insurance but fine. The car we ended up getting had just been dropped off so it wasn't even cleaned. It was quite disgusting actually, I've never received such a dirty car rental.\r

My husband made the reservation for 5 days. We picked up NOON THURSDAY and technically we had until NOON TUESDAY to drop it off. The guy tells my husband that if we get it back before noon by Monday though, we'll save $15! \r
\r
So my husband being mislead by this supposed ""special offer"" signs a new contract the guy draws up which voids his ORIGINAL reservation and says we have to get it back by noon on Monday. SO stupid. We ended up not being able to make it back by that time but we called Hertz to let them know. They said it was fine and we can just drop it back off on Tuesday since it's a 24 hour thing. \r
\r
We drop it back off and they charge us an extra $40 extra (we got the rental for $20/day) for that 'extra' day we took since we didn't get it back by noon on Monday. But my husband's reservation was until TUESDAY - the guy just had him sign a new contract which voided our extra day and caused us to pay a higher rate. How messed up is that???????!! I know it's just $20/difference but it's entirely on principle at this point.\r

You've totally lost a customer Hertz and you should be ashamed of your shady ways. You know you scammed us and ripped us off by having us sign the new contract. lesson learned.
