This is a very pleasant hotel and in a great spot for exploring the wineries. I can't comment on the size of their average rooms, as I had a one bedroom suite-great if you have kids with you as it had a nice pull out sofa and could also fit a rollaway. Room was clean, and while some parts had that dark wood cabinetry, other parts seemed newly rennovated. more

We were just in Buellton overnight, stopping there to pick up horses at one of the breeding farms. We found our overnight stay at the Marriott to be very satisfactory. Nice big room, well sound proofed, very comfortable bed, well maintained bathroom. We also had the opportunity to eat in their restaurant, the Jockey CLub, and took advantage of their Lobster dinner. It was very good, with a reasonable wine list full of excellent local wines. We will definitely stay here again! more

A very pleasant place to spend a night! 7/26/2011

After a few days in glorified motels it was such a relief to land at this Marriott. Large & quiet rooms, great breakfast buffet, in-room movies, thick towels, robes, and a super comfy bed. Just what we needed after a day of wine tasting. Thank you to the staff for running a very pleasant place to spend a night! more

The hotel is much more beautiful on the inside. Great staff. Great location. Clean. The rooms were really nice and the beds and pillows were so comfortable. Can't wait to go back. more

Eat at the Ballard Inn. 7/7/2011

Eat at the Ballard Inn. The chief there is excellent and the lamb was perfect. Not to mention the desert. They even sat us at a private table because it was out anniversary and we did not have reservations on a Saturday night! But it turned out to good to be true. more

The best thing about the hotel is the staff, great service. But the rooms were very comfortable, and standard Marriott hotel room.It is located off of Hwy 101, which was convenient for us. more

Great rooms, but the best part was the location 6/9/2011

The rooms are VERY NICE, they said they had been recently renovated. No dark old wood,as another review stated. It is so close to all the vineyards, and the wine tours! We had a blast! more

Wonderful location, and near everything I could need 6/6/2011

The hotel is right off the 101 freeway in an area that flooded with Food services and entertainment for adults (bars, restuarant) and kids (McDonalds, Burger King, Movie theater). Good customer services, clean, helpful, and efficient. more

Nice people with good service 6/2/2011

The service was awesome - and they weren't pool nazi's when it came to closing the pool at night. As far as I'm concerned, this is the only place to stay in the Santa Ynez area. I will be back! more

The only place to stay 5/27/2011

This hotel was perfect! Good price ~$100, good location near the wineries in Los Olivos and the Casino in Solvang. There is no restaurant, but we found a fantastic place in Los Olivos - Brother's restaurant. 5 star food with a casual atmosphere. They have great local Pinot Noir here! After dinner my finance and I enjoyed the hot-tub and heated outdoor pool. more

great place almost perfect 5/26/2011

This place would be perfect if they called it a Courtyard by Marriott and knocked down the rates. Otherwise, standard Marriott fare where you know what you'll get. Also, it looks like it has been recently renovated, but not quite completely. The doors look like they were stained back in the 80's, so it seems like everything else was replaced except for the doors and wall/celing trim. more

""We turned up at this hotel as part of our drive from San Fran to LA. They only had 2 rooms left as there was a firemen convention but they still offerred a good rate for a room with 2 queen beds and an annexe with a single bed in - breakfast was also included. The hotel was clean, staff were very friendly and attentive. Facilities were good - fitness centre was good, it had luandry services which help when travelling light and there was a pool although the weather didn't permit using it. It is right next to the 101 which is very handy but quite far to some of the wineries. We also got very advice on which wineries to visit, and it turned out to be a great day. It has been renovated recently and looks good - I would definitely recommend"" more

Very accommodating 4/18/2011

The staff was very accommodating from the moment we had shown up. Our room was clean and comfortable, which makes the stay all that much better. The location was perfect for what we wanted to do more
