My husband and I were lied to by Hertz. On our car's due date, we called asking to extend for one day and were told that we could do so for the same daily rate. Upon my call to Hertz the very next day, I was told they were charging me an extra $200 for that one day because we had entered the weekly rate time period. The representative did not care what the other Hertz rep had told us. She said we were misinformed, but that we still had to pay the extra money. I argued that if we had been told the correct information the prior day, we would have returned it that day. She did not care. CONSUMERS, PLEASE AVOID HERTZ.
