The dinner menu is fair, but pricey. I love coming here for lunch ... they have a larger, better and more affordable selection. Their kids menu is impressive too. You don't get a bunch of fried junk. It's real food, and comes with a lot too! \r \r My favorites:\r \r chicken fried steak\r any of the burgers\r steak soup\r mixed greens w/ shallot dressing\r any of the steaks\r \r Stay away from:\r \r philly steak sandwich\r chicken pot pie\r fries (get baked or twice baked potato instead) more

Great Steaks 5/3/2008

Hereford is a great place to go for steaks. They have a good sides as well. The employees are very nice and you get great service. The prices are what you would expect for a steak house. The restaurant was clean and had a nice atmosphere. more

BEST STEAK 2/3/2008

I have eaten here many time for special occasions and had the best steak in the Kansas City area. I especially like the Steak Dijon topping and the Italian dressing. more

Impress your date! 1/31/2008

This place has atmosphere. It has a comfortable and upscale feeling to it. The waitress was funny and came around just enough to keep our drinks full and our needs met. The steaks here are the best. When I want a good steak, I go here! There is no rush. You can go here to eat and socialize and spend a good two hours doing it with no pressure from the servers. Price is upscale too, but I think they are worth it. more

Great Steak and Great Dessert 2/20/2007

The last 2 years that I have come to Kansas City I look forward to going to Hereford House. I did not go to this exact location but rather the one at 661 N Stoddard Ave, Kansas City, MO. Their steaks were perfectly done and could cut them with a fork. I love the Blue Cheese covered strip. I was not too impressed with any of their side item choices but then again I am also picky about what vegetables I like to eat. The last time I tried the scalloped potatoes and didn't care for them.\r \r One of the best parts is the dessert. They have a white chocolate bread pudding that is to die for. It is not like any other bread pudding that I have seen and if you like white chocolate this is a must! And you can get it en flambe to make it even better. Pros: White Chocolate Bread Pudding! more

My Favorite 8/28/2004

My husband and I love to dine at all of K.C.'s finest, but when we want to feel at home and know what kind of service and food we are going to get, we go to Hereford House. We are never disappointed. I LOVE their bread pudding. It is a must if you have room. Pros: locations, great service, great food more
