I finally made the investment of hiring a moving company and I wish I would have selected another company. I received a phone call 30 minutes after their expected arrival time to be notified they were going to be another 4-5 hours because the move before me had misled them on how much stuff they had and were not even packed. They wanted me to change my move date which was impossible as I had already taken off work for that day, as did my mom to help, and everything I owned was packed & ready to move. Because they waited for the 1st move to get their stuff together, they ended up arriving at my house 8 hours past the scheduled time at 10pm. By that time the movers were tired and wanted to get home so although they were quick, I don't think they were as careful as they normally would be. They did bring a 3rd guy to help at no charge to me but that didn't cover the frustration and inconvenience they caused me. We didn't get unloaded at the new place until 1am and with having to be at work in the morning, I was not able to get unpacked and settled like I had planned had everything been on time. Because they were ready to get home at that hour they also didn't ask where I wanted heavy items placed, they just left them for me to deal with. I called the owner of the company after I received the call about the delay and he could not have cared less. As someone who has worked in customer service for years I understand how to not speak when you are faced with an unpleasant experience and therefore was even more frustrated that he didn't offer even an apology. I called the company to report my experience and asked to have a manager return my call, which has never happened. I'm young and have many moves ahead of me and will never use or recommend this company to anyone. I have never been more frustrated and unhappy with an experience as much as this one put me through.
