“Here comes the bride review”\r \r Before some days my sister's marriage was going to be held. This was very special occasion for me and my family. I had got the complete responsibility of wedding dresses of my sister. I wanted to give her eye-catching dresses so that she looks more beautiful.\r \r I searched many store but I was not able to find exactly what I want. Then I visited the shop “Here Comes the bride”. This shop was very near to my home. When I entered in that shop I was really surprised after seeing the collection of that store. That was really wonderful and eye-catching. I purchased some selected designs that was really amazing. I recommend this store to all those people who are searching for a store for bride's dresses. more

I just recently had the WORST experience at this store & it was with the owner Donna. When I was fitted for my bridesmaid dress I was 4 months pregnant. I told Donna that I am usually a size 8-12 in gowns, depending on the make & that I was due to have my baby 8 weeks prior to the wedding & that I would need a bigger gown, a size 16 or 18. When I got the gown from my friend it was about 4 weeks prior to the wedding. When I tried it on it would not even come close to zipping. I looked at the size & it was a 14. I called immediately & spoke with Donna. I asked her what size dress she ordered me & she looked at the paperwork which said a large. I asked ""what does a large mean? Are we ordering tee shorts?"" I asked for a new dress & was told by Donna without even taking a breath it was too late to order a new dress & that they would fix it by removing the zipper & adding a corset. Well the bride did not want that or that is the type of dress she would have picked out. I told her they ordered me the wrong size. Long story short she told me about recent girls who have come in after having a baby that fit fine in their dresses because they run & exercise. I was appalled. I eventually had to take the dress to a tailor & was charged $120 on top of paying $175 for the dress. The fabric alone costed me $50 to add to the dress. I spoke with Donna several times & she told me I paid too much for alterations & that I told her to order me a size 14. She wouldn't even say ""I am sorry"" or anything. She put all of the blame on me. This woman is ignorant & I would NEVER EVER refer her to anyone. DO NOT go to her store more

We walked into Here Comes The Bride shop on New Road in Somers Point. It was dimly lit and dingy looking. It had a musty smell of mildew. The dresses looked wrinkled and actually tattered. They looked old and dusty, like they've been hanging there for years. The shop had an extremely limited selection. No small sizes either. Pretty much only for larger woman. Me being a petite I said to my friend in her ear that I may have to shop for my dress on line. It was just us in the shop. The owner , eves dropping on our conversation, Donna came charging up to me like a bull. She began screaming to the top of her lungs, looking like she was about to physically assault me. I tried to appease her by saying that I have difficulty finding size 1 and I didn't mean anything personal. She began screaming to the top of her lungs as she got as close as she could possibly get to me. I felt extremely threatened by her. This woman may have a mental illness, I thought to myself. She probably needs some medical help. It's not an excuse for her violent behavior though because at the same time she knew what she was doing. Needless to say we left her dingy depressing little shop. My advise is : Here Comes The Bride bridal shop is a dingy little closet of a shop with not much to offer except for a violent shop owner with anger management problems and tattered dusty looking dresses that wouldn't even be the equivalent to a second hand shop, not that there is anything wrong with second hand shops. Further more, if you do venture into Here Comes The Bride, look out for Donna The Bull because she may just come a charging your way. I'm telling everyone in any way I can tell about this happenstance. Why have memories that are supposed to be special and good blighted with tainted memories of DONNA THE BULL.....................?!! Notice how Donna writes her own positive reviews about her own shop because no one else will. You can tell she wrote them since they all pretty much sound the same........... Don't they? more

what a drag 5/19/2012

I was looking for a wonderful dress for my big day in October. I was fitted in a slimming Ivory beauty until my mother pointed out something. That annoying BULGE! UHHHHHHHGGGGGGG! I can not walk down the aisle with that thing flopping around. I quietly asked the assistant if she had the special under garments for ""tucking"". She turned red with anger and emphatically said,""NO!!!"" She started to say that she didn''t serve my kind of people. She proceeded to rip the beautiful gown off my body. She was screaming and spitting in my face telling me that I was a BAD GAY! She grabs my arm and leads me into this closet where she started to put electrodes on my wrists, head and genitals. She began to show me videos of Michelle Bauchmann and Sarah Palin. She explained to me that if I didn't get arouse by these women, she would kill me and my family. Now, luckily, my mother escape during the commotion and grabbed a police officer. The police entered the store with guns drawn and apprehended the woman. I'm OK, now. But, now I can't stop thinking about that woman who tortured me. It truly sucks having Stockholm Syndrome! more

Our experience with Here Comes The Bride and the owner Donna was very helpful and professional. My daughter has a long distance wedding and Donna handled everything with great detail. My mother of the bride dress was selected by me via the internet and Donna was more than happy to service my order and the alterations via her shop which includes a modification of the jacket . She ordered more fabric and is very knowledgeable when it comes to knowing what and how to do things outside the box as well as crossing all her t's and dotng her i's. Highly recommend! more

A Bridal Secret in Somers Point! 2/19/2011

I didn't even know this place exsisted. I was just in the shopping center with a friend, and noticed it. I walked in just to look, expecting the dresses to be way out of my price range. You know how it is, a little boutique with gorgeous gowns, they are going to be very expensive. But, boy was I wrong! not only did I find the ""one"" for me but the service was more than what most would do for someone who was down on their luck like me. And not only did I find the ""one"", but when I went back with my mom to show her the dress, she actually found anouther one the was much better than the ""one"" that I picked, and the owner accomodated us so that I have the right dress for my perfect day. She truly knows how to treat people! I have even found my Bridesmaids dresses and Maid-of-honor dresses there too! more
