Good Sporting Good Store 10/26/2005

Herb Bauer Sporting Goods is a very large store. They have a wide variety of camping, hunting, fishing, boating equipment so many others I can not even list them all. The generally have what you are looking for but, the prices are on the high end. So if you do not mind paying the higher price this is the place to go for all your sporting needs. I found a pool cue that I was looking for that I could not find at any other store. The staff is also very helpful and friendly. more

Not my first choice for everything 8/16/2005

Depending on what you are looking for, Herb Bauer might not be the best place to go. For example, they have a lot of great hunting and camping equipment, as well as tons of fishing supplies. They tend to cater to more "less popular" sports than other stores, such as kayaking. But if you are looking for something like shoes - say for running, hiking, skating, etc.- you won't find a whole lot, which is kind of disappointing, as are some of the prices. more
