Update to ""weheartjesus""below... I take it all back. He had to come back to fix cracking grout at least once already. Now, two years later, we started noticing some water damage.. And after pulling up the tile, the subfloor is soaked and rotting. The water has gone throug to our bathroom. We now have to rip out the shower again, rip out the floor again, new floor tile, new carpeting, and new subfloor, and possible Sheetrock in between the shower and the bedroom. Thanks for a colossal waste of money mr Henson. The shower never even drained properly. To which he said 'that's a good as it gets' ... So we've had to squeegee the floor every time we shower or we had standing water. If you see this guy.., kick him,, hard.. Hide your wallet, and run more

Paid 1/2 of down payment , and didn't commit to finish the job. Never return call and didn't repair the defect tiles, leave job half finished ! still own kitchen cabinet.\r \r No show to follow up with subcontractor, seem took down payment and never come back.\r \r Will file with NC attorney general office shortly if no return to finish the job, also plan to hire my own lawyer to file small claim to get refund back if need to file legal action.\r Pros: Seem Nice person , but ""Can't trust"" Cons: Never return call, didn't show up in job site. more

8 Months later, and we are still fixing his work. I have found it easier to do the work myself, rather than make 10 phone calls to him, with none getting returned. I am now on tile #7 I have had to replace either because he put in defective tile, did not cut it properly, or when he put it down, did not put enough thinset down so they cracked. You can tap on many of the tiles he installed, and hear that underneath them, there is no support. I am looking @ at least 4 more breaking because of horrible work. Please, for your sake, FIND SOMEONE ELSE!!!! Unless you enjoy repairing something you already paid for. Just look up his info on the BBB site. He has an F grade!!! I can't speak for workmanship since it never got that far. What I can say is he wasted over 2 weeks of my time by agreeing to do work then not showing up. Not even a return call..... If you enjoy dealing with ""no-shows"" this is your guy. Pros: Nice guy Cons: Does not follow thru more

Henson contracting is one of these contractors out there that as long as he is satisfied, your opinion means nothing. We told him repeatedly what we were not happy with, and he basically told us to try and live with it, as one other review states. I really wish we would have seen this first. There are many other contractors out there that will make you happy. Choose one of them!!! Pros: do not have to deal with him anymore.... Cons: too many to list more

Henson Contracting has completed 2 jobs for us over the past month. Granite countertops went in smoothly with new hardware. Additionally he installed hardwood floors in our 300 sq/ft back room. All jobs were completed on time and we did not experience any “money and timing” issues as described by other reviewers. We are now having him tile our backsplash to finish off the kitchen. We have used many contractors in the past and I would say this guys work seems right on par with others in the area; however, I have noticed a couple traits that I personally have enjoyed as we have been jointly working together over the past couple months. He has been very patient with our design thought process and does not hesitate to offer opinions on what may or may not look good. I value a third party opinion especially when based on experience. Additionally, as materials (granite, wood flooring, and tile) were discussed cost was always kept on the forefront and he checked numerous vendors to ensure we were getting the best value. Long story short so far so good…..we will continue to use this guy again. Pros: timely / nice Cons: NA more

We paid this guy 1/2 of the bid to tile our kitchen and entry way. That was 2 months ago. We have not heard from him since. We have tried and tried to contact him, but he keeps ignoring us. I guess I will have to go the way as another person on here and drag him into court.... Cons: Will take your money, and you will not hear from him again.. more

He and his 1 helper (sorry I don't know his name) turned an ugly bathroom leak into a lovely HGTV-quality shower. And his price was very fair, quite reasonable actually. Henson Contracting recently remodeled my kitchen...new custom made cabinets, granite countertops, new tile floors. I love my new kitchen. The quality of the work is fantastic. And so is the service. I had one small problem with a lazy susan (that was not a custom made piece but a pre-ordered one) and Cregg was at my house that very week to fix it. There were several reasons that factored into my decision to use Henson Contracting. 1. The price - I got better materials at a much better price than what other contractors bid. 2. The fact that Henson Contracting did the work themselves...other than an electrician, Henson Contracting did all the work themselves (installing cabinets, flooring, trim work, painting, plumbing) and did not sub-contract the job to other workers. This meant they were on the site the entire time. I have other projects that I would like to do in the future and I will have Henson Contracting do the work for me. A couple weeks back I looked up henson's to find out more info about them after I declined to use them. I was not surprised at what everyone had to say. I am so glad I went with my intuition and didn't hire them or else I'd be in the same boat as everyone else. I couldn't help but think that the only reviewer with anything good to say was over doing it alot and then today when I check back the positive reviewer is now a negative reviewer despite the comments still on another persons post. Even after reading these ridiculously scathing reviews, we took a chance on Henson Contracting to install hardwoods in our entire house (1000 sq. ft. +). Henson Contracting delivered so quickly and with such quality (and $3000 saved!) that we hired them to do 12x24 brick pattern porcelain tile in our kitchen and bath. The kitchen looks absolutely amazing, and right now he is installing porcelain tile in our guest bathroom as well. We have been working on home improvement projects with Mr. Henson for close to 3 weeks now and i have gotten nothing but top quality work from him and his company.
