I had my dream dress but it was too big. Joyce took it and literally worked a miracle and in less than two weeks. It is perfect and I am extremely pleased. The customer service is friendly and helpful. Thank you so much :) more

If I could give more stars I definately would. This is the BEST place ever for alterations! We needed a rush job and they were VERY accomidating. Super nice people and Joyce knows her stuff! She also makes beautiful elegant dress's. Even though I live on the total opposite side of town the next time I need anything done I'm going to Hem & Her!! more

If I could put 10 stars I would. I had a ball gown with lots of detail and bead work. I needed to have it taken down from a 16, to approximatly a 6. I had called everyone in Sierra Vista and even David's Bridal where I had unfortunatly bought the dress, said it couldn't be done, to go buy a new dress. Joyce was able to do it, and on VERY short notice. I took it to her on a Wed. afternoon and I needed it by Fri. at 3:00 P.M. It was done and hanging, just waiting for the final fitting. She made a beautiful dress into an amazing special dress. She added details and it turned out better than the original. Her designs are spectacular. I will be going back to get my dress for my vow renewal dress. There is also an amazing selection of dresses for every occasion and she can work majic with anything. Sexy, romantic, plain....you will find it. Go here before anywhere else! more

II took my new suit to Joyce to have it altered to my specifications which was very difficult. I found her to be a pleasure to work with. She is very professional and very knowledgeable. My suit turned out exactly the way I wanted. Great Job!!!! more

I loved my experience at Hem and Her. I was looking for a wedding dress all over town and couldn't find to right one. Until my co-worker told me to go to Hem & Her. I was amazed at what they have there. The wedding dresses are beautiful. I love every dresses I tried on and made hard for me to decide which dress I should choose. Joyce was very nice and she helped me decide which dress looks good on me. She also have a large selection of evening dresses and the prices is great too. I will be back for more dresses in the future. Thank you! more

I absolutely loved my experience at Hem and Her. I went in about a week ago to get a dress taken up and I was in a huge rush! I was welcomed by a wonderful family of three who were so very sweet. Joyce did a GREAT job on my dress and did it super fast! I was going to ask for a normal hem and she had a great idea that made it way cuter. I am going back next week for another dress. : ) more

Planning my daughters wedding has been keeping us very busy, trying to get everything done. We had used Hem & Her before for tuxedos and also for my daughters wedding, of course planning a wedding something always goes wrong. My younger daughter who was a flower girl got her dress from a bridal company and it did'nt fit, i was horrified i did'nt know what to do, but when i was getting the tuxedos there i watched Joyce and Marv work hard for us they hemmed the tuxedos there and even made a vest bigger right on the spot for the ringbearer, so i called them after hours they called me back and told me not to worry bring the dress in in the morning, so i did they had made the dress bigger so it fit...i will always use Hem & Her for my formalwear they are professionial and family based they put me at ease and i can't thank them enough. In fact when Marv called me he said don't worry have a good night and that Joyce is a rock star who can do anything...and he was right. It took all the stress off me and i will use them anytime i need alterations as well.. more

I had such a hard time finding the right color green for the dresses in my wedding. For my flower girl, age 10, I had gone to about 6 shops, and still hadn't found what I needed. I went to Hem and Her, and found a good match for my color, but the dress was a womans cocktail dress. Joanne, the seamstress, suggested we take it in for her, and then add a ruffle on the bottom to make it floor length. The dress was a great price, the alterations were not expensive, and Joanne understood what I asked for, and somehow made it happen. She was very patient with me when I asked for ""just a little less here, and a little more there."" more

I had an online disaster with my bridesmaids dresses (the dresses weren't coming). I called and spoke to Brittany and emailed her a couple photos of what the dresses looked like. She printed up several items similar to the one I sent and in the same color. We ordered the dresses and they were here in 4 days! Everywhere else in Tucson was giving me a 6-8wk arrival time. I tell everyone about this place!!! My wedding is in 2wks and I cant wait!!! My Girls look good! more

I've been into Hem & Her a few times for various occasions. The one thing that I can say was the same throughout each experience was the wonderful atmosphere and the lively staff. They made each visit so memorable. They were absolutely fabulous and the dresses there are BEAUTIFUL!! I recommend anyone looking for any type of dress(wedding,prom,quince ect) to come in and enjoy this shop. more

The day of my appointment I was running late due to traffic and the owners were really kind to stay after closing hours. My wedding gown is gorgeous and at a great price. We were recommended by a close family friend. I was going to getting married and I desperately needed a wedding gown. I bought my beautiful dress there at a reasonable price! We needed to decide on what type of tuxedo they needed. One of the sales person showed us a variety of tuxedos. She was very creative and friendly. We decided to go with the zoot suits. They were nice and they came with all the accessories, including: chains, kane, hat, ect.. We had a beautiful wedding and everyone looked great!! A few years ago I was in desperate need of alterations and I drove by Hem and Her and inquired about alterations. The employees were nice and gave me a free written quote. The next day I took a few blouses and she took in from the sides due to my recent weight loss :)!!! My family and I have been their customer for many years and we are happy with the way we are treated. I like this place because it's fast service! more

I was having a problem with my wedding dress and HEM&HER came to the rescue. One seamstress made the bussell and made a new design that made it look gorgeous. She also made my veil for me and she put a lot of pretty beads and it just looked spectacular.. I took in several other formal dresses and she made them short for the spring season. Everyone loved the way they looked on me :) In a couple months my daughter will be getting married and she will definitely go buy a pronovia dress there! I am really really happy and her service was great! more

My daughter recently had her Quincea?era and she looked amazing! We went there to look at the different dresses and they were just adorable. There were a variety of dresses to choose from and all different elegant colors. The staff was super nice and easy going. The alterations were done perfectly. My daughter and I were very pleased with everyone. They also had a great deal on the tuxedos for my husband, son, and nephews. They looked sharp and they fit comfortably in them.. I have recommended this place to everyone I know! more

I bought a Pronovias gown when I was living in LA last year, then I moved to Tucson and I was having a hard time finding someone to do ""outside alterations"" with my gown. I found Hem and Her online and saw that they sold Pronovias so I decided to call there, they agreed to take my ""outside alteration"". I went in and I thought things were a little 'off' with Joyce after she said they no longer did outside alterations and gave me a long drawn out speech about supporting local businesses and not going online. Being a native Tucsonan I ALWAYS support local businesses so I told her what had happened and she very reluctantly agreed to fix my dress. My Mother ended up buying her dress there too (unfortunately...read on). A few weeks later we come in and Joyce cuts the bottom of my dress (while I am wearing it!) and works on a pinning things here and there. Then another bride and her fiancee come in and they are looking for a specific dress, which Joyce does NOT have so she starts calling other businesses to see if they carry it. As the bride is getting ready to leave she says they are going to continue looking out of state in California. So I tell her that if she goes to California there is a store in Pasadena that I think may sell the dress she is looking for. Joyce proceeds to FLIP OUT! She starts crying and screaming at me about how I lost her a sale. Her husband comes out and tells me that, ""the costumer is NOT always right in their store"". In the middle of all of this Joyce is working on my Mother's dress and starts screaming that she is going to ""throw it in the garbage"" and that she doesn't know why she does this for people that are so ungrateful. I repeatedly apologized to no avail. She thought I lost her a sale but they didn't carry the dress the woman wanted anyway. After getting berated by her and her husband I walked out. Unfortunately, my Mom had already paid for her dress to get fixed with them and so she had to wait over and hour for Joyce to calm down and talk to her. The worst is that when my Mom went to go pick up her dress the zipper came off of it and it was sewed all wrong! She had to go back twice for it and it still looks ""not right"". After two zippers my Mom put her dress on, on the wedding day and the zipper broke again! In tears we had to find my Mom a dress at a department store on the day of my wedding!! Talk about stress!!! I checked the better business bureau and they have had several complaints about similar things in the last few years. I went to a different LOCAL Tucson store and not only did they do an amazing job but it was $100 cheaper and most importantly it was DRAMA free! This place is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE on all accounts!! Pros: None Really Cons: Terrible smell inside store & even worse costumer service more
