Best

Great Vet! I have been taking my pet to Briarcliff for over 20 years and I am very happy with the service my 4 legged children get.

Worst

I have been a Briarcliff customer for 20 years. In that time I was satisfied with their service. However, my dog got sick in early Februaryl...I was very worried. From the moment ...

Great Animal Services 11/8/2010

During my last couple of years in Atlanta I took my cats to Briarcliff Animal Clinic. I was quite impressed with the facility, as well as the veterinarians and the technicians who work there. The clinic was always clean and the staff highly professional. They always seemed to find an open appointment for me on short notice, even the highly sought after Saturday appointments. One of the staff even provided pet sitting services for me when I went out of town on short notice...my cats certainly appreciated getting to stay at home rather than being boarded. Thanks Briarcliff Animal Clinic! more

Great Experience 11/5/2010

All told, my cat spent 4 days (3 nights) at Briarcliff while recovering from his blocked bladder. We visited him every night, and on each visit, we were allowed to spend as much time as we wanted with our cat. We are are definitely going to switch vets after our very positive experience this week. more

Happy Place 10/29/2010

I was new to the area and I could not have found a better vet. The staff was compassionate, kind, and they were genuinely concernced about my pets. They were also extremely affordable. I brought my cat in for fleas and they gave her an exam and treated her great. A few days later I had to bring my puppy in for the same problem. He had the same exam and treatment but the staff refused to charge me for an office visit. They also have an express service for puppy vaccines where you only have to pay for the shot...no office visits, which saves you money! Briarcliff is an amazing Animal Hospital and I am extremely happy there. more

Very Welcoming 10/15/2010

I recenlty became a new pet ower to a rescue pup and first went to Lenox Pet and DID NOT like the vet there and was referred to try Briarcliff. I agree with a few of the other users, this place is expensive but I felt Dr. Powell took her time to REALLY go over my pet and made me feel at ease. Being a new pet mommy, I had quite a few questions and she took the time to answer each and every one. I think I will keep my puppy there as long as I can afford it. ha! more

Always takes care of us 10/8/2010

Great hours and availability. I have been takng my 4 dogs there for the past 6 years seing Dr. Sandra Hedge. They have 7 day a week apts and vets always on site. I had an emergency a few years ago and they handled it superbly. Great customer service --- Terry at the front desk always takes care of any issues you may have. The only downside is they could do better keeping scheduled appointment times. Sometimes I have had to wait up to 40 minutes after my scheduled appointment to see the vet. more

Part of the Family 9/27/2010

The thing I like most is that when we go in there whether it's a visit or boarding they remember you. You may be a customer but your pet is part of their family and you can expect the best service and expertise. Like I said they are pricey but if you want the best for your loved one this is the place to go. more

Answered all of our Questions 9/20/2010

The doctors and staff were wonderful. My cat saw Dr. Clealand, who was extremely helpful and caring. He diagnosed my cat's blocked bladder pretty quickly and walked me through the treatment options. He took the time to explain everything to my husband and me, answered all of our questions, and updated us with calls twice a day. more

Expensive- but worth it 9/17/2010

I must say their prices are high and have seemed to increase over my 6yr experience with them but I have no doubt they are the best at what they do. I have taken my dog to other places based on cost only to get misdiagnosed by Briarcliff which ended up in big savings on my side. The thing I like most is that when we go in there whether it's a visit or boarding they remember you. You may be a customer but your pet is part of their family and you can expect the best service and expertise. Like I said they are pricey but if you want the best for your loved one this is the place to go. more

Great diagnostics but big price too 5/12/2010

Bring your animal here if you have the money to spend on very smart doctors and great equipment. For instance when i was employed i paid $300.00 for a laser spay on my kitten. The kitten hardly knew anything had happened and healed up very quickly. It's a great way to go if money is no option. I've also had them diagnoise other animals correctly when others could not. Don't know why they charge so much more than other clinics, would theorize they pay their doctors more, hire top doctors and keep their equipment upgraded. Pros: Great diagnostics Cons: BIG price more

Awesome Place! 10/28/2009

I drive about 30 minutes to get to Briarcliff. The staff is friendly, courteous, and helpful, and the doctors are thorough. My pet was very sick, and had to be hospitalized for a few days. The doctors communicated the treatment plan and costs with me beforehand, and there were no surprises. I was overall extremely satisfied with my pet's treatment. Thank you to everyone at Briarcliff Animal Clinic! I won't go anywhere else! Pros: extremely long hours, friendly staff, wonderful doctors more

Horrible Experience 7/9/2009

My pet had an awful experience here. They would not allow me to be with him while he was treated & given shots. They brought him back to me in a urine-soaked old box and my precious cat had feces matted in his fur. He was terrorized by hearing dogs bark 24/7 because they do not separate the dogs from the cats. They will not give your pet a sedative because it's not ""natural"" medicine. This place appears to be chic and cool but it's really overpriced and nasty. Pros: Snob Appeal in Morningside Cons: Filthy behind the scenes more

Briarcliff animal murderers 2/12/2009

Dr. Muller should not be called a doctor. He should burn in hell. He murdered by dog selfishly. My tiny baby pomeranian poodle had a small cut on her stomach and he gave us two options: surgery to stich her up with anasthesia or letting it heal naturally but he recommended surgery because ""there is a risk of small infections with natural healing""- my personal belief is that that SOB needed the money because the economy is bad and was attempting to sway us toward the more expensive method. Well after my baby came out of surgery she went into cardiac arrest as a result of lung collapse and died. Dr. Muller FAILED to brief us on the risks of the surgery and how pomeranian poodles are the most likely to experience lung collapse as a result of anasthesia. That SOB is a murderer and we are not done with him. That vet will pay for what it has done, especially after we have been going there for 20 something odd years. Beware briarcliff. Pros: free parking Cons: they murder animals because they are selfish and want $ more

Good experience 9/26/2008

I went to Briarcliff after having a bad experience with Inman animal hospital. I had found a kitten and decided to keep her. The staff was very efficient and kind. The female vet in particular (I forget her name!) was great. They gave me a quote on how much everything would cost, and the vet stayed in the room with me while she gave the shots and exam, and explained the procedures to me in great detail. It was the exact opposite from inman. I felt confident that my kitty was in good hands. Pros: knowledgable and friendly staff more

Depends on the vet 10/20/2007

We've taken both our dogs to Briarcliff and respect/trust two of the ""senior"" vets there, but Briarcliff's Dr. Heather Brooks is a definite no-no! We got home from work and our dog was acting very strangely. He had a fever, swollen lymph nodes, and seemed disoriented. Dr. Brooks was the only vet available and she immediately said it was either cancer or a stroke. She did labs to confirm and told us after two hours that it was just a bad infection and sent us home with antibiotics. Two weeks later, his lymph nodes were still swollen, but he was okayed for dental cleaning surgery anyway. Four weeks after that, his lymph nodes were still swollen and they told us that Dr. Brooks had NOT done a test for cancer like she said and that it was in fact cancer. She is a terrible vet in all ways - bedside manner, competency, and compassion. Because of her delay/lies, the cancer had spread and there was nothing we could do for our best friend. Pros: Parking, Not expensive, Caring techs Cons: Varying levels of skill between vets more
