Heaven The Salon Experience

I have been visiting Heaven for years. My two favorite stylists are Tiffany and Michael, the owner. The stylists listen to your desires and concerns. They WILL do what you ask and make appropriate suggestions when necessary. The staff handles clients of all ages and does their best to make everyone comfortable during their visit. A few friends of mine are loyal clients of Heaven and as a bday present set up a 'day of beauty' for me. I did the whole shebang: massage, mani/pedi and a total overhaul on my look. I could not be more pleased! The massage was INCREDIBLE, the mani/pedi was top-notch and I got the greatest haircut and color ever! I left with 2 appointments booked and a bag full of yummy new products to try out. I even had the make-up artist, Lauren do my makeup for a nite out with my boyfriend. This place has it all. Being new to the area, I was looking for an upscale salon that was very much like the Metropolitan area I moved from. What I found in Winchester was TRULY HEAVEN. The shampoo experience was amazing as was the atmosphere. The cut and color went beyond my expectations. It was good to know the staff is well educated and definately a step above most other salons I tried in Winchester. I also was recommended just the right products to maintain my hair...I have found THE place for getting my hair cut and colored. AMAZING! Pros: upscale, innovative, perfect color more

I moved to Winchester from DC and was desperately trying to avoid commuting monthly into the city for my hair appts. Thank god for Heaven! Not only is the salon beautiful but each and everyone of the stylists are incredibly talented!! My job has taken me all over the country and I can honestly say my experience at Heaven was one of the very best. Im spreading the word to everyone... I go frequently to this salon, my stylist is Katie, I highly recommend her. I have never left there looking bad and neither has anyone else that I know that has gone there. However, it is a more edgy salon, so if yout your appearance or attitude is rather tame then I don't recommend it, although they do cater to these needs as well. The pamper menu is a definate plus and the prices are decent. They are friendly and remember you when you walk back through the door and will offer you refreshments, television, music and a variety of magazines while you wait. I wanted a trim and a few layers to give my hair some movement. What I got was a top-heavy, unevenly-cut flat-ironed nightmare with 5 products in it. It started great--the stylist washed my hair and I got to pick two options from the ""pampering menu"". But from the time I sat down, it was high-pressures sales and no regard for what I'd asked for. I was assured that a Paul Mitchell ceramic flat-iron would ""change my life"" and that my hair would ""look"" longer because of the cut. I ended up leaving the salon with a product I didn't want after overtipping the stylist because I wanted to get out ASAP. Bottom line is she didn't listen to me and didn't do anything close to what I asked for. If you go to Heaven, bring a picture of what you want and be VERY specific.
