Heat King Inc

I gave Heat King Mechanical 3 stars for service since it seems like they dawdled a bit in response to the situation. It was very cold this past winter, and our heater was making strange noises. I called the gentlemen that originally installed it and he recommended Gene to us. We got a hold of him and he came out, but he didn't really assess the situation at the first time. It seemed like when the heater was running, it was making more and more noises. Finally, our neighbors who have had similar problems told us that their mechanic told them that it was probably out of frion due to a leak. When gene came back, I told him what the mechanic said. Gene asked why we hadn't fixed it then, and we said that the other mechanic was a man of honor and knew that we had called him first. Then Gene told us that we had to let it run and find the source of the leak. It was freezing at around 55 degrees, and we're in our 70's. My husband had this terrible cough, which the doctor told us to get a humidifier for, and just had his shoulder replaced. We were really under a duress, and I was hoping that heater would work. We wanted it fixed as soon as possible. They finally determined that the leak was in the original unit and it had burned out the compressor and that we had to get a new heater. We had it replaced, and it's been working so far, so in the end, the situation was resolved. Gene will come to check on the unit in June, and hopefully everything will be fine. more

Gene from Heat King Mechanical has installed heating pumps on two occasions, cleaned all the heating ducts in two different houses, and has repaired an A/C unit. He always seems to be available and have always had same-day service. more

Gene was my realtor and he did a fine job with my furnace inspections. He is very reasonable with his prices and he gets the job done quickly. The greatest part though was that he did not try to calculate any unnecessary add ons like some people that I have worked with in the past have done. If the work needs to be done, he does it, but if not then he knows his job is done, he does not try to scam you. Overall, Gene is a great guy. more

I was very satisfied with Heat King Mechanical. I got a new furnace and then they installed a couple new registers where the heat comes out. They do very clean work. Gene was very good about listening to where I was on the spectrum of buying a new unit. He explained all the features and options. I got a great value. I would definitely recommend. more

Brock and Gene come out to clean my vents, condition gas furnace, clean and vacume all fans, etc. They are honest and do a great job. I ordered a new gas hot water heater from them that they installed a year ago. I plan to get my gas Rheem Furnace from them this April. When I find a good company that I can trust, I keep them and encourage all my friends to use them. They take their time and do an outstanding job. I had an issue with my furnace when swapping out thermostats - apparently I blew a fuse on my 24volt controller. Called a few different firms that had 24 hour service and could not get them to come out that day (Saturday afternoon). Got ahold of Jim at Heat King and he swung over after another job in the area. 15 minute fix and showed me how to change out fuse if it ever happens again. Only charged his flat fee for trip which was totally reasonable and standard these day, especially when the alternative was to wait another day and without heat. I would definitely recommend Jim at Heat King to provide a fair and friendly repair experience! more

Heat King Mechanical came out to my house, fixed my furnace and cleaned the duct vents, then called me to let me know the job had been completed. more

Heat King Mechanical has had a very prompt response when we've needed them on various heat jobs. They have had very good relationships with the tenants in the rental properties I've managed, and they're very professional. more

I had Heat King come out and look at our water heater which did not seem to be working. We just purchased the house and our home inspector told us we would probably have to have it replaced. After calling another place Heat King had a much better price for replacing water heaters and they were available to come out the day I called. When, I believe it was Jim, showed up he was very friendly and did not mind that I arrived a couple minutes late. He looked at the water heater and realized that though the pilot light was lit it hadn't been switched over to on. That explained our lack of hot water. He said he would love to sell me a new tank as this one is old but that right now there is nothing wrong with it. I was so thrilled I had him service the furnace since he was already there and he showed me how to put in the filter. A few days later I called Heat King to come back and clean the air ducts, vents, and registers. They were so happy when I called to have them come back out. It is a family business and they all showed up to clean out the ducts. Again their price was substantially less than the other place I called (about $100 less). They really cared about what they were doing and did a fabulous job. This is our first house and it was a foreclosed home that had some what of a rocky past. I'm not sure how but the air duct cleaning seems to have given the place a much better over all feeling as well as a better smell :) I will definately call them back when it is time to have the water tank replaced and if we have any other HVAC problems. It is obvious that they take what they do as a matter of pride and they take care of people like family. more

I know Gene from the Heat King Inc. personally. He's a really nice man, and I like him a lot. He is professional and is always concerned about getting the job done correctly and within a reasonable amount of time. Recently when he was here, his daughter and her husband were here also, and they all were very mindful about putting booties over their shoes to keep my house clean. Heat King Inc. just has a nice family crew. They're very polite and very efficient. They're a good group of people to have work for you. They did all my duct cleaning, replaced my furnace, and hooked up a new thermostat. I had bought a new high-efficiency, two-stage furnace. We have no complaints with Heat King. We had first called them out of the blue when one of our hot water tanks needed to be taken out of one of our rentals. At that time, they let us know that they do both heating and air conditioning services, so most recently we thought about them for our heating issues. They were fast, timely and professional. We also thought we got a great value with them, they are very reasonably priced. We especially like that they are family-owned, neat and tidy while working and in and out in no time at all. They do what they say they're going to do, they show up when they say, and they help whenever I have questions or issues arise.
