I went to heart to heart home care training location at (395 Pearl St Brooklyn - arriving at 9am) this morning (2/21/12) to an appointment, and you have to take a test before you can be eligible to be interviewed to take the training for HHA. The test had words spelled incorrectly and test questions that didn't make sense (or even seem relevent to HHA) which made it hard to understand. One question went like this: [15 people went to a party, 6 stayed at the party. The same amount left in 3 cars. How many were in the car?] <<<---Doesn't make sense. Maybe to others it does but to me it doesn't. There's 3 cars, so why ask ""how many were in the car"" - implying theres one car? And then... the question states that the same amount that stayed left . ""6"" right! So... where's the other 3 people? Altogether there's 15 people remember!!! Anyway, due to the misspelling throughout the test (""they"" was constantly spelled as ""the"") and senseless questions like that previously mentioned, not to mention the fact that the test looked unprofessional, and thrown together, and sloppily done. I do not recommend this company or training location to anyone (because there is a possibility that training documents will look similar... thrown together). Also, I explained to the department manager about how the question previously mentioned didn't make sense and how there were reoccurring errors on the test and she just kept saying ""no there isn't any errors and that it didn't matter, and that if i failed, i failed and that's it."" BUT... at the end of the test, they gave me a failing grade and didn't allow me to be granted a interview which is required before training because i got four answers wrong and you can only get three wrong to move on towards the training. So... i feel i didn't even get a fair chance at getting job training there, because people there that are in charge don't even care that ""the test"" makes sense and is Error-Free. And... i asked the department manager if i can show the test to other workers there, and she said no, even though one worker said she'd would like to read it. She was not allowed to do so by the dept mananger! So, i just want to say: If a person is being tested for their mentality and intelligence, why give someone (especially a intelligent person) an unintelligibly thrown together (errors here and there) TEST Document (like it's normal) and then expect them to sit there (try to pass it) and pretend that nothing is wrong. That is... ""Simply Stupid"" in my opinion. Some of these companies - i wonder... ""why are they even in business?!"" All that did was upset me this morning and waste my time! If i have anything to say to this company and the people in charge, that is: Thanks for... NOTHING!
