Just tried them out (not happy with previous vet that was new to the area) and am very pleased. Very clean, very good price. Everybody loved my Wookie and took good care of him. more

Friend service 1/6/2011

I am a mother with four small children. Trying to set a time for my dogs year shots is really hard with naps and after school activities. The staff was very patient on setting up our appointment. When I came in with our dog Jessie and the three small children the staff help us all get into the exam room. The tech and doctor did there exam and vaccines in a very loud room with kids talking and jumping around. The tech. helped us out front and held the Jessie for me. She even help me get her in the truck. I am willing to pay a little more because I know they really care about Jessie and my family. Thanks Healthy Paws for helping a busy mom of four. more

Too pricy $$$ 12/14/2010

Friendly Staff and clean offce. After loosing my mini Schnawzer a year prior. I decided to try someone new and close by to care for my other Schnawzer. \r I took him in for a rash and was given allergy meds. I was shocked by $$ the cost of the visit. I was advised that my dog needed dental care and that it would cost me over $400. \r Still, I came back for an annual exam and shots and was shocked when they handed me a bill for over $200!!\r \r I like the convenience and the staff...but I am not coming back! more

Someone has to pay for the yacht 6/21/2010

My concerns are not with the attitude of the staff or there treatment of me personally. These things are just niceties and are great for show and sales. My concern is with the vets knowledge and the price of treatment. I have used Healthy paws for 7 years and found them mediocre at best. Over the coarse of time I rarely got the same person helping me with my dogs needs. There treatments were for the most part accurate, but the price was always on the high side. This was just a little irritating at the time and I paid the higher prices for the convenience of there location and just plain laziness for not checking prices in the area. With the economy like it is now I finally started checking prices and found That healthy paws was one of the best, At making money. Pros: The main vets are good decent people Cons: over priced more

My dog loves to go 2/5/2010

Haley gets groomed once a month, and she starts wagging her tail as soon as she hears the receptionists talking to her. The groomer is wonderful with her and does an amazing job. Pros: Smiling faces and groomer more

Over priced Under Value 11/3/2009

I think these folks have forgotten or perhaps never understood what their mission is.\r \r As pet owners, we are as concerned for the well being of our pets as much as we are our children and to that extent will provide them what ever medical care is necessary for them to have a healthy life. This is what healthy paws ""preys"" on.\r \r I recently took my mixed terrier to them because of an infection in his ears. The subsequent exam revealed he had a yeast infection. What I suspected. \r \r The ""ASSISTANT"" (not the vet) cleaned his ears ..Cost..$37.49 PER ear. The vet prescribed a cleaning solution and ear drops. $24.74 for the solution and $49.31 for the ear drops. When I got home, I Googled the meds and found the cleaning solution for $7.16 and the drops for $12.88. Do the math .. a 300% mark up. The total bill was $193.75. Not bad for 27 mins. Approximately 7 mins.of vet time.\r \r On a prior visit, they restrained the same terrier so harshly that when I got home his left eye was totally red and swollen. We are talking about one of the sweetest gentliest and best behaved pups in the world. When I called them back they had me bring him back. The vet admitted the mistake and gave me some eye drops and told me there would be no charge. Now wasn't that nice.\r \r To say I am displeased with these people would be a gross understatement. I am absolutely livid.\r \r Will I take my pups back to them, absolutely not. Would I recommend them...absolutely not.\r \r As a side note, I worked for a vet my last four years in high school with the intention of being a vet. The vet I worked for was one of the finest caring people in the world. I know what the job is and I know what good health care for pets is. The people at healthy paws do not have a clue. \r \r I tried saving this without any star as they don't deserve it.\r \r \r Cons: Over priced Under Value more

Doom and gloom 7/17/2009

A few days ago, my 4 month old lg breed puppy became ill - throwing up and lethargic, which just wasnt her. So, after the condition persisted for another day, we took her into the closest vet - Healthy Paws. Well, after ordering a test that was unnecessary (parvo - she has been fully vaccinated, and does not interact with other dogs) and a full round of x-rays (those cost almost $200 btw - for only2!) , they still couldnt tell me what was wrong with her! They even did bloodwork that came back fine!! The best they could tell me was to bring her back the next day, for another office visit fee, and more x-rays. \r The next day, they called me to let me know that she either needs to come in for more treatment and tests, or she would likely die - and then proceeded to quote me an outlandish price for one days worth of treatments. ($600 - for 1 day!!) Obviously this freaked me out, but I was able to keep a level head, and shop around for another vet - after first asking them to send me copies of her records. By this point, the puppy was even worse, however, I ended up taking her in for treatment elsewhere, that not only was cheaper, and friendlier, but also were shocked when they saw the diagnosis - said it was completely wrong, and she will be fine after fluids and antibiotics are given. \r So... needless to say, I will no longer be giving the closest vet in town my business. My new vet is in Garland - a bit of a drive, but worth it for the service i recieved, and the cost. They seem to truly care about the animals out there, not the bottom line. Pros: location Cons: price and attitude more

To each their own 6/28/2008

I am so sorry to see that there is a (only 1) bad remark on here! All 5 of my pets have been patients of Dr.Stillie's going on 3 years! Sure there are days when they are packed but it shows me they are doing good! why would they be so busy if they were not a good clinic? Everyone at some point has the one ""bad"" experience, heck there are human doctors who mess up! Doctors are not god's, they are only going off of what the patients body is telling them! I have even had bad days there but you can't take it personal. It really worries me that people are so down in life these days they can't just try to make the best of times. Their clinic wouldn't be a AAHA certified clinic!?!?!? I also quoted other places and yes they are kind of expensive but i believe you get what you pay for and also for this area this clinic is still cheaper than others! The price is just right for the area! Other locations may be cheaper like dallas but Frisco area is full of Rich people with big 2 story homes and lexus's and bmw's in the garage but then they want to complain about a living creature's medical bills? Get real! I TOTALLY would and DO send my friends and family here!!!! Dr.Raiczyk and his wife have done a great job building this place and his staff are fantastic!!!! Pros: Great doctor's Cons: You may have to wait because they are really busy!!! more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS 4/15/2008

We have been taking our three dogs to Healthy Paws for 2.5 years. I have never been that pleased with the quality of care, but when we first moved to Savannah there were not a lot of vets to choose from. \r However today was the last straw--we are no longer customers of Healthy Paws.\r Not only are they completely overpriced, they are completely insensitive and rude.\r Today they wanted to charge me $268 for one prescription!!! When I went to Twin Oaks Vet they told me that was completely ridiculous. \r Also I went to pick up our dogs records--they had the records ready for me when I got there, but not the xrays. It took them 45 minutes to get someone to tell me that it was going to cost $15 per xray...hahahaha are you kidding me??? There were 10 xrays. When I asked why they were charging me for the xrays of my dog that would no longer be their patient, they said (as they walked away from me) that it was policy. \r They literally had me in tears today. \r Our eldest dog had surgery on his throat month ago ($3000) and now we are being told that the diagnosis may have been wrong. He is now vomiting/diarrhea. They said that they would need to do bloodwork to see what is going on with him--they just did all of his bloodwork 2.5 wks ago!!! NO JOKE. WTF!!!! \r I love our dogs so I have no problem paying whatever we need to make sure they get the best care----HEALTHY PAWS IS NOT THE BEST CARE!!!\r I strongly advice you to NOT TAKE YOUR DOGS THERE!!! If they are your vet I strong advice finding another vet. more

Very caring and knowledgeable doctor! 4/2/2007

We've been taking our cats to see Dr. Stillie at Healthy Paws for about 2 1/2 years, since we moved to the neighborhood. We were determined to find the best vet we could and were prepared to drive a distance, but it turns out we found a great place right around the corner. Dr. Stillie is friendly, courteous, and sensitive to our cats and to our needs as owners. He is very attentive and thorough, as well as gentle with the animals. I always appreciate his willingness to stick around at the end of an exam and answer any questions we have or give advice about how to keep our cats healthy. Recently we lost one of our cats due to a genetic heart condition, and Dr. Stillie, having received a fax from the emergency hospital, called us at home with his condolences. We have since adopted a new cat and are taking him in to get microchipped and examined. The only complaint I have had in dozens of visits to Healthy Paws was about a year ago. One of the vet techs acted rude when our cat urinated a little in his carrier because he was frightened. I mentioned it to Dr. Stillie, and he not only apologized for the tech's attitude, but comforted our cat and cleaned him with a damp cloth. I highly recommend Healthy Paws because of Dr. Stillie, the friendly office staff, and the warm atmosphere of the facility. more

Not just a veterinarian 4/15/2006

Dr. Raiczyk takes an interest in your pet's specific problems. My dog has significant allergy problems which Healthy Paws keeps under control. Dr. Raiczyk took the time to research and stay current with the latest treatments available to help Max. We first saw Dr. Raiczyk at another clinic and followed him to Healthy Paws when he opened his own practice. His staff is courteous, the clinic is clean and the treatment is first rate. His practice has grown to where there are not three veterinarians on staff. That speaks for itself. Pros: Qualified vets, Clean Environment, Personal Service more
