This is the only spa I will go to for any kind of salon services. I go primarily for a brazilian wax and I've had almost every specialist treat me; I have simply enjoyed every single person that works here. Amazing!!! 5/4/2012

Healing Wizdom is amazing! I came in a few months ago for a Brazilian bikini wax. I had never had any sort of wax before, and after doing some research I was understandably apprehensive. Shirley June was great. The technique they use (I don?t claim to understand it all) involves using oils to help loosen the hair. While it was uncomfortable, it was not painful. It went fast, and within minutes after the procedure I felt nothing uncomfortable. There was no recovery time whatsoever, no bruising, or any of the horrid things you read about. They also use great after products to sooth the skin and prevent ingrown hairs. I liked this so much that I?ve started regularly scheduling waxing at five week intervals. These later appointments go SUPER fast. They give you amazing tea after treatment and everyone is friendly and welcoming. I?ve been recommending them to everyone I know. Pros: null Cons: null more

Great Massage! 7/25/2011

I've had a few massages here over the years and so have some of my family members and the service/product have always been great. However, I recently had one of the best massages with Matthew. I had called on a Saturday in June and wanted a massage that weekend (as it was long overdue). I typically prefer a female therapist, but Matthew was available and the receptionist recommended him; plus I needed a massage! Healing Wizdom has always had 'good energy' and been a pleasant experience, but this was perfect as my tight areas were focused on and some stretches were explained to help me keep loose. It was great and so I booked my next session in July (which I never do b/c I like having flexibility with my schedule) and that next massage was just as informative and stress reducing . Matthew is a natural healer and I would recommend him to anyone looking to deeply relax and stretch out the body! Thank you Healing Wizdom! more

Not of Quality nor Professionalism 6/16/2011

After reading the amount of positive reviews, I had high hopes for finally finding that ""special"" spa that would replace some of our local hot spots that have unfortunately closed their doors - Healing Wizdom is NOT that place. Because it was my first visit, I was unaware that there were two locations within the complex. I sat there for 30 minutes before they realized the mistake due to the lack of professional greeting. No apology was given. I was sent on my way and that was that. The massage experience was comparable to their greeting - I have never been so tempted to call a massage to an early end but it was so much of a joke that it was almost laughable. The masseur could have been new, she definitely was not familiar with their computer setup. Hopefully, she will improve with experience. However, the front desk reception was inexcusable. more

Amazing Wax by Kindra 6/2/2011

I would highly recommend Healing Wizdom and Kindra to anyone looking for a great experience with waxing. If it is your first time do not bother going anywhere else...Kindra made my experience with the Brazilian Wax a great one. She was professional, calming and was able to help with questions I had. She made me feel so comfortable and the calming lotion that is used afterwards topped the whole experience. From the front desk, the staff, the calming wax, the prices and the great cup of tea at the end I would recommend Healing Wizdom to all my friends. more

Brazilian wonders. 4/9/2011

I love this place! The entire staff makes you feel like you belong there for whatever reasons you are visiting. There is tea to start the process and smiles everywhere as the soft spa scents relax you. Kendra is my favorite, but then I've only been to her. I've been to other "spa"s for Brazilian waxes and never before had a tummy warmer pillow and a little mini-massage prior to a wax. more

Best in Town 3/30/2011

I have to tell you, its really hard to find someone that is reliable, clean, reasonable in pricing and good at what they do. I have been coming here only for two months now. Erin is the best!!!!! She's very personable, and it was a pleasure sharing stories while she was removing my hair. I have been waxing for over ten years now and no one compares to her. Erin is professional, organized, detailed, and diligent. more

Least painful brazilian EVER 2/15/2011

This review is long overdue. I moved to Reno from San Francisco eight months ago and was in search of a good waxing place (eyebrows and brazilian) and based on the great yelp reviews decided to check this place out. This place is really as amazing as the reviews say it is. more

This Place Rocks 1/19/2011

I just had moved up to Reno from CA in July of this year. Finding a new place in a new town is uncomfortable for anyone who has to make this change. A few weeks after moving here I needed my hair done and I searched Yelp and had found the Spa and Hair Salon. I called up and THANK GOD Shirley from the Salon answered. She booked me the same day and my experience was awesome. I have since been back every 6 weeks or so for a new hair change. Shirley is very attentive and extremely easy to talk to. more

Quick, painless waxing 1/17/2011

After recently moving from Los Angeles, I was on the hunt for a great waxer. I read the reviews and settled on Healing Wizdom. I believe the owner was who worked with me and she was so sweet. It was a completely different experience then I've ever had before. She gave me warm stones to hold and laid a heated pad on my abdomen...and my favorite part, the "modesty towel". I would definitely recommend this spa and am planning on taking my friend who has never has a bikini wax before. It's perfect for someone who might be a little nervous. It was painless and quick! more

Great spa 11/16/2010

I have been getting my brazilian waxes with Kendra, and she is amazing! The spa is so soothing and has a great energy. Kendra is great, she keeps the conversation going in an otherwise potentially awkward set up. She also gives you hot stones to hold and tells you when to breathe deep. I have yet to experience any kind of discomfort after the treatment. She?s incredible, and the spa is hidden in a quiet corner of a great part of town with a great little spot for lunch right outside. Overall it?s a very relaxing, enjoyable experience. Since coming here I?ve sworn off shaving all together! Highly recommended! more

My facial at healing wisdom was an incredible experience all the way around. My esthetician, Erin, was amazing and I would highly recommend her and the spa to anyone. The atmosphere was relaxing and the staff accommodating. Erin?s technique left me feeling totally rejuvenated and I especially loved the facial and upper body massage! more

Tamara is a highly skilled stylist. Customer satisfaction is very important to her. I especially appreciate that she draws upon her own experience and expertise when working on color and cut. Definitely highly recommended!!! more

Great Massage Therapy 9/23/2010

Healing Wizdom has been a huge help for me. I started having neck and shoulder problems a couple of years ago. After seeing the chiropractor and visiting the doctor and taking Aleve on a daily basis for a couple of years to no avail. My wife suggested I see Cheyenne at Healing Wizdom for one of there on the go massages. It has been great for me. Multiple visits to the chiro didn?t help as much as two sessions with Cheyenne. Now I do my best to see her at least every couple of weeks. Not only has it helped me sleep better and feel better, it is very reasonably priced so I can afford to take better care of myself. more

Amazing! 9/20/2010

Healing Wizdom Salon is wonderful! I go to Brynna for Brazilian waxes about once a month. I?ve been going for about 2 ? years. She is extremely professional and super nice. I have never been in pain or had any complications. The other staff members at the salon are also nice and professional. They always send an email confirmation for upcoming appointments and payments. They call to confirm appointments as well. I would recommend this salon to anyone who needs a bikini wax! more

My name is Blaire and it has been almost 3 years since my last hair cut, so needless to say it is about time. I started doing some research on salons and came accross Creative Colours. There was so much positive feedback about Creative Colours that I knew it was the place for me. I made my appointment and had my haircut and color today and I couldnt be happier! I have had the pleasure of becoming a regular of ""Annie's"".. Annie Is very sweet , with a warm , caring and calming demeanor. Her massages are very relaxing I prefer a firm to deep tissue where needed or lighter . And Annie seems to be in tuned to my needs and know how much pressure and where I need it the most. Her technique is professional and very experienced .You can tell how much Annie loves what she does. I Always feel re energized, relaxed, and can't wait for my next message. I visited Healing Wizdom for a Brazilian wax. Kindra was calming and very professional. It was the easiest, least painful wax I have ever had! She included lots of extra touches that made my waxing experience relaxing and surprisingly enjoyable! I already booked my next appointment and I would encourage anyone else to do the same! I won?t be going anywhere else for all of my waxing needs. more
