Haverford Mri & Imaging Ctr

I needed an abdominal and pelvis CT with IV and oral contrast. When I called to schedule my scan, they asked if I had a shellfish allergy because of the IV contrast, I informed them I have a deadly allergy to shellfish, so they told me to get steroids from my doctor; which I did, and phoned them again to make my appointment. When I arrived for the study, after drinking the two containers of barium, staying up all night so as not to regurgitate the barium, and taking the steroids, they refused to do the scan with the IV contrast (making the test almost useless). I was informed that they SHOULD have directed me to a hospital both times I called to set up the appointment. Waste of time, waste of energy, increased my pain and suffering for nothing, and I wish I didn't have to use their facility (this is not the first problem I have had with an MDI facility). If you HAVE to use them due to your insurance, then be sure when you make your appointment, that you treat their employees as if they are imbeciles and walk them through everything that you need. They admitted that they dropped the ball and apologized; however, when it comes to medical issues and a person's health, an apology is NOT enough. more

I went to the Bryn Mawr office for my MRI'S. Wonderful staff. Front reception was very pleasant and the techs were fantastic. more

Went there for my 20 week ultrasound...was never told that the tech couldn't answer any questions. She made ""hmm"" noises throughout the whole thing, leading me to worry something was wrong with my baby, and ignored my questions (would have been a great time to say ""I can't tell you anything, but your dr. will discuss it with you), didn't let me watch the screen, couldn't find out the sex of the baby, and wouldn't try to look again, just wiped the gel off my belly & shoved us out of the room. When I called to inquire why I wasn't given any info, I was practically told-off by the receptionist (apparently there was some trouble with too much info given to a previous patient & they seem to be sensitive about it). The company still hasn't responded to my complaint. more

Since this facility was bought by another they now only do Mammograms 1 Saturday a month which is not convenent for working people. I was very disappointed to find this out when I called for my August mammo. I now have to wait until October. The techs are great and always friendly and efficient. Pros: free parking,good access Cons: mammograms more

The clerical staff are very nice & also fast. The technicians are very knowegable & get the shots first time around. Pros: Free parking, excellent service, good hours. Cons: Almost all testing can be done here with the exception of a mylogram because it is not a hospital. more
