Dr. Royster is very competent and caring, however, sometimes the staff are too protective of access to the doctor and "strict" on office procedure unnecessarily. I agree with the post that this practice is in large part about churning fees and the comparative pricing in regards to the national average is much higher, not so much based on individual items, but the quantity of items billed for one dog for one procedure for one stay in hospital. It is very good care, so it if you can afford it, it's a tradeoff. No issues or concerns EVER about care of animals or treatment, but the charges are way over priced and too numerous. It is like paying for a wash and blow dry at a human hair salon, and then being hit up for shampoo cost, hot water, towel and blow dryer rental. 'nuff said.
