Delicious food - I had the paneer tikka masala and DH had the biryani. I didn't realize the tikka masala didn't come with rice, but it didn't end up being a problem with DH's absolute truckload of biryani. The portions were gigantic! Delivery was faster than GrubHub's estimate and the driver was extremely friendly. We'll definitely order from here again soon. more

Haveli is one of our favorite Indian restaurants! We generally order the "thali" which comprises of an array of scrumptious dishes including papad (a spicy wafer), appetizer, Indian bread, two curries, lentil soup, rice, Indian pickles, and a dessert. I highly recommend "Methi Malai Mutter" and "Shahi Korma." My husband loves Paneer Tikka Masala. Gulab Jamun is our favorite dessert. The food is "made to order", hence it is always fresh which we really appreciate. The downside is that it takes about 45-50mins for delivery. However, it is worth the wait to have fresh and piping hot delicious food! I usually request them to use less oil in preparation of the dishes. Haveli folks make extra effort to neatly package each dish to avoid spills.That means, a lot of unwrapping of saran wrap. LOL! We really enjoy food from Haveli and have been long-time patrons of the restaurant. Enjoy! - The Cooks more

The food was pretty good, though lukewarm. The delivery and service in general were extremely poor. The delivery estimate was an hour. I received my food almost 2.5 hours after ordering it. Around the 2 hour mark I called the restaurant repeatedly and received only an answering machine message. When the food finally arrived, the driver was unapologetic and simply said that the area was difficult to navigate. It isn't, particularly, but had I been called by the driver ahead of time I could have offered directions. It also would've been nice to know that they hadn't accidentally driven off a cliff, which is what I was assuming at that point. The food itself was pretty good, though of course the naan and the fried items didn't fare well being in the back of someone's car for 2 hours. They did decently after being reheated in my oven but were by no means fresh. I can imagine dining in at this place would be worthwhile. I certainly can't recommend their delivery though. Props to the eat24 service folks for promptly responding and refunding me though. more

Great Indian food - lots of complex flavors 1/25/2010

You know how it is. All too often you head out for Indian food and end up in some dirty restaurant eating mediocre food. We've been missing some of our old haunts since we moved out of the Bay Area, and I've been longing for my mother-in-law to come visit again and whip us up some good Indian food. In the meantime, though, we needed something local. Some friends recommended we try Haveli, and we're glad they did. Our meal was quite good with many different layers of spices for a deep, complex flavor. The owner was the waiter, and he was attentive without being annoying. The food was much more flavorful than what we've found at Kanishka or Preet's, and the price was lower too. This was good Gujarati food. We're still looking for a good south Indian restaurant in the area. Are there any? What about real Punjabi food? Pros: good food, service Cons: hard to find, kind of hidden from road more

I will not be back 4/1/2009

This was a very disappointing experience. I was really looking forward to having a nice meal out so to get a plate of frozen vegetables cooked in a watery sauce was beyond disappointing. I would have been better (and cheaper) staying at home with a microwave curry. The one star is for the pleasant waitress and the garlic nan which was actually nice. A real treat to your palette and wallet 1/29/2009

We heard about this place from a couple of our friends. It seems like the new management brings in some amazing talent. Our experience was great. In fact we had a full course meal (appetizer, 2 entres and drink ) with 3 people for about 20 bucks and the chef there figured we were new to the place and was so nice to ask us what we liked and made a very delicious aloo paratha. It was the best paratha I've ever tasted in any restaurant around here. more

If you like pure desi food go to haveli.pure veg. best indian food in town.when we ware their owner told us they have changed the cook. new cook is from LA.he have 25 years experience just tell waiter what you want to eat he will make any veg dish for u 100% recomended who love pure desi food. try once u would not regret. more

New Owner's, Service and Food Gone Downhill 12/6/2008

This used to be our favorite Indian joint but not anymore. New owner's changed to an all vegetarian menu which wouldn't be bad if they bulked up the dishes to compensate but they were skimpy. Flavor was average. The place was filthy , not just the tables but the entire inside, and we were stuck in the back corner of a room and basically forgotten about all night. Had to go find the owner, he was the only waiter, to ask to order then get more water and again for more rice. The naan was fresh and hot, my favorite. They wouldn't honor our Passport discount card even though I checked before going they were still valid. I contacted Passport next day because I was irked at the owner's rude response and Passport said they were still signed up and shouldn't have refused to take it. It is a clear ""buy one entree, get one entree"" deal so the owner came back and said the naan could've been free if we asked. Yeah, that wasn't the deal either. Skip this place and find another to spend your hard earned money. more

Stopped by tonight and Haveli said they now only offered vegetarian dishes. Too bad. Kanishka is around the corner. more

This is one of best indian restaurants we've ever eaten outside indian. Fantastic Eggplant, Okra, Paneer dishes!! You can order special curry dish from Punjab region if you want to try. Just amazing. Pros: just food!! Cons: hard to find more
