Haute Heads Hair Colour Studio

I have gone to Haute Heads 3 or 4 times over the last four years, however, I would go every 6 weeks if I could. I have had amazing experiences each and every time, but I especially wanted to write about my most recent visit. Previously, I had seen Jestin or Pierce, who both do wonderful work, but I was open to seeing whoever was available as it was a last minute appointment. I was told Tanya would be my stylist. I hadn't been to the salon since before they moved, so I was amazed at the new location. Before, the salon had been perfectly nice, but the new one is fantastic with such a warm and comfortable atmosphere. I felt extremely at home from the moment I walked in. Going to a new stylist is always a bit nerve-racking for me, but Tanya turned out to be wonderful. She made me feel comfortable and at ease and listened to everything I said while offering her expert advice. Plus, she won't judge you for having a few glasses of wine in the middle of the day. The other stylists, including the owner, conversed with me, really making me feel super comfortable. You will find no snotty, pretentious people at Haute Heads. I have had bad experiences with this issue at other salons, just as high-end. After all was said and done, I can honestly say Tanya gave me the best haircut/color I have EVER gotten. I was thrilled. This is my absolute favorite hair salon and I would recommend it 100%. more

I have been living in Atlanta since 2000. Like most newcomers, I started getting my hair done in town. Was a haul, parking was ridiculous, cost was too high and they had very little respect for my time. As the years passed I went from salon to salon in Gwinnett looking for the results I found in the city. It was to no avail....until I found, Tonya Duncan. Not only does she listen, she knows the latest looks, has the freshest color ideas, and more important took note of my lifestyle so as not to give me something I couldnt maintain or handle on a daily basis. Tonya is also cost conscious, she talks candidly about what services cost so there are no surprises. Needless to say, I would recommend Tonya to everyone looking for a Great Stylist. I will add, my husband and 2 teenagers see her as well and they are equally thrilled. more

I have been going to Pam Klemm for over ten years. She is truly the best! She listens to what color and cut I REALLY WANT and what is important to me in a haircut...yet she suggests ideas on the latest styles and makes small suggestions to keep my hair sylish and fresh. When I moved further away from the shop, I tried three other hair salons close to home. I ended up way too blonde and not even close to the cut I wanted. Pam is worth the drive! The staff is very friendly as well and you instantly feel comfortable when you go there. I just love all their decor and the various detailed holiday deocorations, whether it's Christmas, Halloween or Valentine's Day. They always help put me in the holiday mood. I'm always telling Pam, "Can Jestin (the owner) come to my house to decorate?" The warm paint colors just make you feel instantly relaxed. This group of hairstylists has been together a long time and it shows in the way they work together and laugh with each other. I highly recommend Haute Heads and hope you have the consistent wonderful experience I've had over the years. more

I haven't found a stylist I loved since moving to Georgia 5 years ago and I was so excited when I saw all of the great reviews for this location, especially the reviews for the coloring! But after 8 weeks, 2 visits, 6 hours in the chair, over $500 spent I still do not have a color that is even close to what I asked for - thought I did get exactly what I didn't want. I was told that getting my requested color "was a process" Really? Lightening all over is that big of a deal? By the time this process would be over and I finally got the lighter shade I was wanting (if I ever did get) it will be close to fall and time to go darker again - probably another process. Guess my search continues. more

I have been a customer of Pierce Brooks for 15 years, I also have NEVER had a bad haircut, or a bad experience in any way, Pierce and I started together when I had waist length hair that was so thick it took an hour to blow dry and we have gone through many cuts and colors.......I now have very short, blonde hair that I get a tremendous amount of compliments on....I would never consider letting anyone touch my hair other than Pierce. Over the years, he has become more than a hairdresser, he is a friend. I love going to the salon and I know everyone there. You will always feel welcome and I look forward to going and visiting and relaxing. One of the things I like best about Haute Heads is that it is very important to Jestin (the owner) that everyone continues to learn and grow as professional hairstylists, they always are informed on the latest styles and techniques and will discuss what is best for you and answer any questions that you have. I highly recommend each stylist at this salon, but of course my favorite is Pierce. more

I have been a customer of Pierce Brooks at Haute Heads Hair Colour Studio for 22 years and I have NEVER had a bad hair cut, color, or perm from him. He has cut my hair short, long, spikey, curly....really anything I've ever wanted, he can do and has done. Not only that, a haircut from him maintains its style and cut quality for months. I will remain a loyal Haute Heads/Pierce customer until one of us drops dead! LOL! He is not only a wonderful stylist, he is a great friend. I have known him since I was 14 years old, and over the years he has also cut my husband's, mother's, son's, and daughter's hair. In fact, we think of Pierce as one of the family. The staff at Haute Heads is always glad to see me and remembers immediately what my favorite haircut beverage is! :) I highly recommend Haute Heads Salon AND Pierce Brooks as the best place/person in Suwanee to get a fabulous hair cut and color! more

I regret having to write this bad review because Pierce is truly a sweet person, but my haircut turned out terrible. I asked for layers, and I got a very choppy haircut instead. The layers don't blend in, and I kind of just have 2 main layers--like the 2-tier birthday cake look. I am thinking of cutting off half my hair since the layers are uneven/don't blend in. Needless to say I wont be going back. Which is too bad, because the decor and staff were very nice... more

I drive from Alpharetta to have Jestin do wonders with my hair. He has gotten me through a serious hair loss and then the weird phase with it growing back all wiry and unmanageable. Jestin always takes the time to find out what you need help with - he isn't happy until the customer is happy. The salon is always a joy to visit - the style is classy with touches of fun - especially with all of the wonderful holiday decorations. Everyone in this salon is friendly and helpful - believe me you will not find a better shop anywhere in the Atlanta area. more

Being a very senior, but active, citizen, I always go to Haute Heads for everything hair! As with most seniors, my hair is constantly changing texture and color. However, Jestin always notices whatever change is taking place and deals with it accordingly. His use of highlights and lowlights keep me looking at least 10 years younger than my age. I also trust all the stylists at the salon. They do terrific work! more
