We always seem to get screwed by various professionals and auto repair has been no exception. We have taken our little sentra here a few times over the years trying to keep it alive for a while longer and they never seem to do any extra repairs than what is needed. A spark plug one time when it wouldn't start, one time something was just loose and we left paying hardly anything. The last time we were in, it was for our minivan's air conditioning which went out. We called all around and everyone said they had to recharge the freon (sp?), then do some diagnostic sending dye in there to check for leaks, etc. Haugen said they would just recharge it (cheaper than anyone's quote for that procedure), and would only do the dye thing if the recharge did not work. It has been years since, no problems, and it saved us over 100 bucks. I don't want to be too optimistic here considering our past with car places, but we have had great luck with these guys so far. more

Poor Service 5/31/2010

I googled Auto Detailing and one of the first businesses that came up was Haugen Auto, so I called to get a quote. A man answered the phone without any kind of business greeting, so I thought I might have dialed the wrong number. I asked if I had called the right number and he very rudely answered, "Yes, but I'm not working right now". I was a little thrown off by his bad attitude, but I still asked if he did car detailing. He again was very short with me and said, "No I don't, but I can get it done for you. I have a guy who does it for me". He gave me the price that his "guy" offers, and again was very short and rude, so I told him I would call another time and hung up the phone. I will not be calling back as I felt he did not value me as a customer. I sure hope his "guy" doesn't rely on him for business, because with customer service like that, I'm sure he's losing more business than he's giving him. more
