BEST SUSHI EVER!!!! 4/7/2009

I lived in Orlando for 17 years and i've never came across a better restaurant. Hatsuhana serves fresh and high quality food. Price isn't too bad. Its WORTH it. People complain that price is too high, then check out Amura. Their food quality is so low and they over price everything. Hatsuhana is perfect!!! I go in at least 4 times a week. Also the owner is so polite. You should get to know him. He's the man. If your looking for a sushi restaurant, i say you stop by hatsuhana. Pros: fresh fish. fresh food. polite workers. more

Not a lot of value for your money 1/16/2009

I eat a LOT of sushi. Unfortunately, even though I live less than two miles from this restaurant, I'll drive across town or into Winter Park to eat rather than eat here. Sadly, I've given this restaurant many attempts to redeem itself over the years... and each visit I get a bigger bill and less food. The quality is not the best - don't get me wrong, it's not terrible - just average. Also, if you decide to dine in, make sure you have at least an hour to spare before your food even arrives... and then you might need a microscope to find it. Pros: You get to spend a lot of time and money. Cons: Small portion sizes and slow service. more

Great Sushi and Friendly Staff! 1/1/2009

I have eaten at many Sushi restaurants and this one is by far the best. The sushi is prepared with flair by their chefs, and is always fresh. The staff is courteous and helpful. My favorite things besides the excellent sushi are the steamed dumplings, the tempura, and the salads. Other dishes on the menu are good but don't shine like these. If you love sushi, you should definitely give Hatsuhana a try! Pros: The food is always fresh and prepared with care. Cons: It is a little pricey. more

Worst Sushi I've ever had 5/11/2008

Let me start off by saying that I did take out so maybe it's different if you eat there, but this was honestly the worst volcano roll I have ever had and I eat A LOT of sushi! The topping had good flavor but it was extremely chewy to the point where I had to remove my first bite from my mouth and could not finish because I could not chew it up completely. And on top of all this I paid $16.05 for a volcano roll and a side (small btw) of white rice. WOW! I am very disappointed!!!!!!! I did not even want to give it the one star that I did, but I could not continue without selecting a star. Pros: Sorry I really felt like there were no pros Cons: extremely disatisfying food and very expensive more

Best Sushi in Central Florida! 9/18/2007

Hatsuhana is my favorite restaurant! I have been a 'regular' patron for years and feel I should pay homage to their fresh fish, service, cleanliness and most of all their wonderful sushi! It's a small, almost hidden place. Parking is limited and it's casual. I travel often and always try to find a sushi restaurant nearby and have rarely found one that meets or exceeds Hatsuhana. The staff is great, prompt and courteous. The presentation of food is very good, although not too fancy. I'd rather pay for the great sushi than the over-done presentations of some sushi restaurants and Hatsuhana does have great sushi. Fair prices and good portoins. Pros: service, food, clean Cons: parking is limited, too much Air Conditioning! more

Worth the trip from wherever you live 3/16/2007

The food may not have the fancy presentation that some sushi restaurants employ, but the fish is fresh and everything is well prepared and delicious. Warning - You'll crave it forevermore! 1/18/2007

This has got to be the best sushi in Central Florida. I've tried them all. I hesitate to review them because I'd like to keep Hatsuhana my little secret. Clean, friendly, and most of all SUPER FRESH & DELICIOUS!!! Spicy Tuna Rolls to die for! When you become a regular they remember your name and even what you order. Better than California sushi. Trust me!!! Pros: Amazing Sushi, Great location, Short Wait, No Crowds (for now), Take Out Available Cons: None! more

This is my favorite sushi restaurant. Chef Massa used to own Sushi Hatsu in downtown Orlando. He know the secret... buy well. more

Friendly and Delicious 7/10/2005

In need of a closer sushi bar, we tried Hatsuhana for the first time. Very pleased! The service was very friendly, the atmosphere clean and inviting, and the sushi was wonderful. Tender fresh fish, and a spicy tuna roll that was actually spicy! Looking forward to go there again soon. Pros: Close to Apopka, Fresh Fish, Friendly Cons: Moderately Expensive more
