Pleasantly Surprised 11/21/2005

For years, I was scared to go to this library because of it's location. I assumed that there would be chaos, a small variety of old books, and just about everything bad that you could think of. For the most part, it is very quiet. They have just as many, if not more, books as other libraries. The movie section is hug! I really like this library. They do have security, but I have never seen anything bad happen. more

Nice 10/22/2005

The Harvey Public Library is medium sized and is very clean. The employees are friendly and very helpful. They go the extra mile to help the public. There have been several times when they personally helped me while I was working on the computers..they did not have to do that! They offer various classes to the public. As an example, a nurse from Ingalls Hospital offered a class on stress reduction. There are many resources. They even rent movies for one dollar which is cheaper than the video store and you get to keep it longer. This is a nice suburban library! more
