What a wonderful place to visit! They have the best team for a hardware store. They have a wonderful way of approaching their customers, very well mannered. more

Beyond terrible customer service. Waited in line to pay - it was our turn and we set our items on the counter. The lady running the cash register had 4 friends walk up - she literally turned to my husband and me and said ""these are my friends from church, I'll just take care of them first"" so we stood their for 10 minutes while she chats up her church buddies - and then when they leave - she had put all of our items in their bag. We asked where our stuff was and she said she didn't know what we were talking about - and again, we said it was just there when you were talking to your friends. She just walked off and abandoned us. She spoke in a very condescending tone and kept touching me in a way that was just creepy. I asked for the owner (to complain) - turns out the owner was the terrible cashier. Never go there. more

A friendly and helpful place to shop 10/2/2011

It is great to have a close to home, friendly place to buy hardware. They are very friendly and always very helpful. I have lived in Franklin for 25 years and it is one of my favorite places to shop. Much better than the mega stores more

I really wanted to like this store 4/25/2011

I just moved to downtown franklin and love the small town atmosphere. I really try to patronize smaller businesses. I went to true value, and had a very bad experience there, regarding rentals. I would not recommend this store. more

Poor Service 5/11/2010

I moved to Franklin in December 2008 and have tried to identify businesses that I can patronize on a regular basis because of their good service. I want to spend my money where it's welcome. I like True Value and had a good one down in Germantown, TN. So when I located the True Value in Franklin, TN, I tried it out. The first time, I wanted to refill a propane tank. I notified the checkout person that I wanted to get a tank refilled and was told the someone would be right out. I waited by the large tank for approx. 5 minutes, but no one showed up. I walked back into the store and asked for help again and wait by the tank again. Still no one showed up. Finnally another guy who was also waiting got upset and went back into the building and complained. Finally, some showed up but was rude and complaining about him being the only one who could fill tanks.\r \r My second refill experience was a little better. \r \r My third refill visit to the store was close to the first experience. I decided to notify the manager about their service problems and the store owner got on the phone. I only hoped to inform them so they could improve. I barley got anything out of my mouth when the owner said ""What do you want; we're really busy around here."" I told her what had happened and refused to accept anything from them. Getting something free wasn't my purpose. Considering how the owner spoke to me over the phone, I see where their poor customer service issues originate. I'm done with this store. Pros: Never identifed any Cons: Poor Service more
