A warm though somewhat formal environment(silk wallpaper, for example). Monet's has a wonderful wine list, as well as a full bar. The lobster bisque is rich and very tasty..my wife's favorite. I have travelled extensively in Europe and, as yet, have not had a Filet au Poivre that can compare to Chef Pierre's( he carefully selects his meat from suppliers of grass fed, free range beef). The Coquille St. Jacques was flavorable and well prepared. Favorite desert= grand marnier souffle. Dinner was finished a cognac and coffee. All in all, a romantic evening, with excellent service.
Pros: Great food, ambience, excellent service, wonderful wine list
Cons: not really a con but expect dinner for with wine to run around $100-$150
