Finally, a New Irish Pub and Fine Dining Restaurant In Downtown Orlando 4/3/2013

Caitlin T obviously has not been to the Harp and Celt and is making baseless and false accusations about the owners of the Harp and Celt. Pro Nazi activities? Really! Caitlin, your accusations are libel at best. The Boyd and Mulvaney families are a far cry from Nazi supporters and one of the only mom and pop restaurants left in downtown Orlando. Shame on you! \r Now for my review:\r I went to the Harp and Celt for the first time in 2007. What a pleasant surprise awaited me when I walked into the Celt Irish Pub that looked like a pub right out of Dublin. The decor and woodwork is absolutely stunning. I was met as I entered the door by a server that introduced herself, asked my name, where I was from, offered advice on the menu items and took my drink order. I ordered a pint of Guinness and ordered the steak and mushroom pie. The Guinness was astounding as were the pie, but more importantly, I was made to feel as if I were a regular patron from the word go. My server then advised me that the Harp Restaurant offered full service fine dining and let me see their menu. That was my second trip. Again, when I arrived at the Harp, I received a warm welcome from the hostess and was seated in a 1900?s era style dining room that was rustic and full of personality. My waiter introduced himself and advised me of the features on the menu. I ordered the catch of the day which was swordfish with a Harp house salad and a glass of wine. I was spoiled by the food and service. It was such a great experience to go to an establishment and receive good old customer service with excellent food and atmosphere. I am now a regular at both the Harp and Celt. Another bonus is the Central garage for parking directly behind the Harp and Celt making it a breeze to park and a short walk to the front door. more

Crawfish!!! 6/8/2009

I'm new to town and found the restaurant online after a search for crawfish boils. Being a native Louisianaian, I thought my days of eating boiled crawfish in the summer were over, unless I was making a trip home. I called immediately, spoke with the bartender who assured me that every Tuesdays and Saturdays, through August, they do a live crawfish boil. I went that very night! Not only were the crawfish hot, spicy and delicious, the beer was ice cold. The employees there are very gratious hosts, as it feels like you're walking into your local pub. I want to thank Rick Boyd, the owner, and all of his wonderful staff for the great times I've already had there and for the times to come. You guys are awesome! Pros: Wonderful Staff more

Great food and fun 9/27/2008

We loved this restaurant! The food and service are excellent. Reminded us of the pubs we went to during our last trip to Ireland. Very authentic, we highly recommend this restaurant. Pros: Authentic Irish, ambience, service Cons: Could not think of any more

Excellent Irish Food & Best Pour Of Guinness In Orlando 7/13/2008

We went to the Celt Irish Pub on their Warrior Wednesday and were surprised to be served the perfect 20-oz. pint of Guinness. The best part was the $3.00 price for the pint. This special is every Wednesday from 7-PM - 9-PM. Harp and Smithwicks are also included in this Wednesday special. To compliment my Guinness I ordered the Dubliner roast beef sandwich. It consisted of warmed roast beef served with melted Swiss cheese on French bread and topped with sauteed onions. It was served with chips. I also ordered the cottage pie which was what I call a Sheppard?s pie. It was cooked with ground beef, peas and carrots and marinated with Guinness and topped with slightly browned mashed potatoes and served with a roll. The Dubliner was delicious with the roast beef moist and full of flavor and the sauteed onions really set it off. The cottage pie was as good as or better than any Sheppard?s pie I have ever eaten. \r \r The pubs interior was as Irish a pub as you can get. It reminded me of the village pubs in southern Ireland. The owners of this pub definitely made it authentic looking and with the cute bartender, her Dublin accent and cheery smile named Lucinda, it sets the mood. \r \r My server's name was Candice and treated my group like gold. She was attentive and very informed about the food and bar menu. She made us feel comfortable and gave excellent suggestions to each member of our group on what to order. All in all, we all will be back to enjoy our escape to Ireland in the Celt Irish Pub.\r I highly recommend this pub for food, drink and service. They have made the mark. Pros: Great food, good prices, good service, good ambience and a excellent pour of Guinness Cons: Parking is pay parking at Library Garage on Central Avenue. Cost: .50 cents per hour after 6 PM more
